Now I see the problem they pushed the tire pin through the plastic too far and it won’t let it fold properly.

It's all good. Anyway, I made the mistake of thinking WD-40 would damage these. It seems not!

I hope this isn't widespread. Can it be fixed easily? Is this the only one with QC issues?

5 minute boiling water heat and gentle pull on the wheel pin. Not perfect but way better. I think for some reason the pin on this side is slightly too long.

Yeah I made a discovery kind of the same time you were putting a post up. When I saw the shiny metal reflecting back at me I knew it was more than just a glob of residue. Thing is you have to cut down until you can see the pin.

I couldn't do them individually either.

Got the last two in from ShowZ. All of them came from ShowZ with all bonus parts.

Dead End, wrists took more force than any other joint I've had to move. I thought the hands would break but they didn't. I did add shock oil also. Trimmed the wrist mushrooms slightly as they look to have a corner to them. Biceps weren't as bad.
Dead End and Dragstrip had a bit of mold flash that needed to be removed.

He said his Porsche alt was better than mine!

If someone wants to make new heads for WR AND BD with a double ended ball joint connection. I would pay soooo much. The other two are just so more expressive. Although I can't help but hear the Simpsons spoof with Eddie saying, "can I hold my gun sideways?"

The white shoulder pylons/forearm covers can store on the back of Motormaster's trailer. It's not the most secure connection but they will stay put. Doesn't look too out of place. Kinda similar to how trucks sometimes have a cooling unit or folding forktruck stuck to the back.

My arm-bots arrived today. I got a couple of the QC issues that have been mentioned here. Had to trim the tabs on Dead End's roof and on Dragstrip's slots that connect to the engine block. One issue on my Dead End that I don't think I've seen mentioned here is the wrist's mushroom peg. On mine I couldn't turn the right wrist so I popped it out to take a look. What's weird is that the mushroom peg was not round. It's sort of half round and half almost squared, so it wasn't going to turn. I trimmed and sanded the peg a bit to make it rounder, and the wrist works now.

I quickly transformed the bots into cars and then formed Menasor. I found the shoulder rotation joint to be a bit loose, so I'm trying some Vallejo reducer there to see if it could be tightened up a little. Overall, I like this set a lot and "little" Menasor looks great and the different display options is certainly very cool.

Man, all of these QC issues with the arm-bots are incredibly disheartening. Very frustrating that such well-designed and well-engineered bots are getting knocked down several pegs due to a sloppy build. Is the factory MS using in a rush or something?

Apologies but could someone explain the deal with the bonus parts? Any pics of what they are and how they are any different? Thanks....

The bonus parts are included to give you the option for a toy accurate Menasor. The first set of Breakdown and Wildrider came with alternate thigh covers that can replace the ones that come on Menasor, and toe extensions so that you can swivel the leg bots around so the cars are facing forward. Motormaster came with an alternate head, chestplate, and I wanna say something else but I can’t remember it. Either way, they were meant to make him look more toy accurate. And Dead End and Wildrider come with bigger shoulder pylons to mimic the design of the G1 Menasor head configuration. Now, these are supposedly preorder parts, but I know that you can still get them if you didn’t preorder. I don’t have mine on me but I’m sure others can provide pictures.

The other part with Motormaster was the crotch plate.

They said they'd come with the first production run, but people have been using that interchangeably with preorder bonus. Which is understandable, considering that frequently you have to preorder to get the first production run anymore. :v

I was fortunate that my bot team all had little to no QC issues and after combining them this evening, I'm all in....This piece is beautiful and gives me all the feels I had when I was a kid collecting the entire team and combining them for the first time :)  If they wish to continue the combine teams, ALL OF THEM I HOPE, I'm in. :)  Great job Magic Square!

Ha! That looks awesome. I wasn't planning on getting any upgrades for him but you've got me kinda tempted now. Hafta think about it.
