Tell me something I don't know.
What kind of printer did you use? Did you have to treat it or anything after printing? It looks pretty smooth. I checked out your Venom thread and you do some really awesome work.
I ordered Unique Toys Provider on the 1st from Netclow's ebay and it arrived on the 19th.
Got my shipping notice for my arms last night (it didn’t go into my spam folder this time). Now for the hardest part, the wait.
Can anyone Confirm: I just received my Overload... but I cant find the sort of Wrist/G1 toy Shoulder pads parts.... do they come with Dragstrip's set?
I use an Elegoo Saturn printer. Prints are done with a .1mm layer height, and the only after-print treatment it gets is cleaned in denatured alcohol. It'll look even smoother with paint, which I hope to have done for product shots tomorrow.
Yes, they come with the last Stunticons.
thanks! I couldnt find anything anywhere... every site only mentions "package includes 1x contain figure & 1x pillage" thats it... looking ar videos online none shows a real unboxing... and I was looking everywhere in and on and around the Overload if they were hidden lol
.1 really? Those are pretty thick layers for a resin printer. I print in .04 usually. Tried to go down to .01 once but I guess my printer (Elegoo Mars) must struggle with that cuz the prints got all messed up (ultimately decided it doesn't matter that much since the X/Y resolution is .05mm so I don't think it matters all that much if I can go much below that in Z). I find that even at .04 the layer lines can be pretty darn visible in closeup photos.
Ladies and gentlemen... Will Motormaster erase my nylon addiction?.
I must say... IT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, fellas!!. With nylon or not, this figure is just perfect. Zero stress marks, zero issues and everything is perfect like MST usually was.
The transformation is very pleasant, specially the engineering of the legs, is extremely wise. The articulations are pretty good.
I didn't transformed the trailer yet, but I noticed nylon and ABS (like Motormaster), so probably it will be an sturdy figure like the little black truck.
Yeah, it cuts down on the print time, which is helpful for big stuff. The filler takes 1.5 hrs to print at that height.
I know we're getting off topic here but out of curiosity, if someone were willing to pay a little more, would you be willing to drop it to .05?
Cool, thanks for the details. I'm glad to hear you were finally able to get a hold of one.
Happy camper! Good to hear you like it, even without nylon
Now you can send me one for free for giving you the idea.
Seriously, it's a GREAT work!! Impressive design. Will you sell it? I want to be the customer number one.
I have to say I'm pretty pleased with MM. He's a stout little figure with a straight forward transformation. I've got him out just standing next to my laptop while I work and I keep grabbing other figures from the shelf to compare him to.
I'm probably going to have to order the filler from @NOCV just so I can display him outside of Menasor.
Also, is anyone else holding off on building Menasor until the arm bots arrive?
Maybe here and there for someone special. I literally would not be able to keep up with all of my orders if I offered it as a regular option, since it essentially doubles print time.
Absolutely. I should have it and an alternate face in my etsy shop by the end of the week.
Limb car shells are going to take some time to get right, but I will have those also at some point.
Really looking forward to pics of the alternate face!
I want an angry face like Megatron, so when an autobot combiner is finally here I can pose them together with Menasor ripping of 2 arms
What's the trick with Wildrider I cannot seem to get him clipped on Motormaster its like he doesn't have the same grooves as Breakdown.
