Clearly we're in for MP appliance bots from ROTF. My vote goes to the one with the gun dick.

I just hope they get rid of the original trilogy bots soon and they continue with the TravisknighteVerse.

(while Studio Series is doing them better)

Nah, there are some pretty gr8 og trilogy designs that need some love, like sentinel from dotm, who had a great robot and alt mode, and basically every decepticon from the first movie.

Poor Oreobot, always on the outside of the MPM window, longingly looking in.

Actually, he's on the outside of all of HasTak's toy line windows, sadly looking in at what will never be....but should.

In light of the recent mp44 optimus debacle, I'm starting to recognise a trend in HasTak's recent mp and mpm outings. And I'm starting to fear that the same thing that's happening to the mp line will start happening to the mpm. Look at mpm 8, at a price of $189 he's markedly the most expensive mpm to date, and while (under the assumption that mpm 8 is Megatron) Megatron may be the biggest decepticon, charging close to $200 dollars for a figure as large as him would be something I'd consider egregious considering the past few outings in the mpm line, especially prime. So again, this is an opinion that I've voiced before in the mpm optimus thread, that we should show HasTak what we're willing to put up with, and the quality we're willing to accept. If Ironhide and Barry are good indicators, the line is going strong, but we as consumers should always demand more, which is why I felt that the mpm carbots were severely overpriced. So my final statement is that if mpm 8 (Megatron) comes out a mess of qc errors like mpm optimus, I say that we boycott the figure entirely. Cause if we don't, HasTak will cease the chance to wring us dry the first chance they get. The mp line was a warning, which is something I do not want the mpm line to follow

Boycotting is never going to work, but if it somehow does, it would probably lead to the cancellation of the line, not lower prices.

Rumours say that Hasbro won't be into the development anymore of the MPM line, now it all belongs to Takara.

(It could explain ironhide delay, how the listings for mpm8 came from japamese solicitations and not from hasbro first, recent hike in prices, all of MPMs appearing in BBTS out of nowhere)

Honestly, i would be fine with it.

First people were upset because of the lack of paint, accessories, and overall quality in the MPM line. It was compared to the current MP line with high prices. Now that the quality and paint has started to increase, so has the prices, now people are claiming price gouging.

If you want increased paint, engineering, accessories and quality, that means increased prices. None of these things exist in a vacuum.
    Just my :2c: .

It’s entirely dependent on what MPM-8 does. If he’s loaded with accessories and features like a standard masterpiece then I’m perfectly happy to pay a markup. If he’s only got a couple like MPM-4 through MPM-7, I’ll be a bit more skeptical.

Say that in the MP-44 thread and see how long it takes the mob to turn on you lol

For what it’s worth though I entirely agree. If it came to it, I’d happily pay 50,000 JPY for an MPM prime just like I would for MP-44. The caviat being that it’s the DOTM version with a legendary toys level paint job, light up eyes, and every weapon he used in that film is included along with a fully transformable trailer that can store all of them (mmmmmm mouth is watering just thinking about it)

Exactly. If you want MP quality, pay the MP price.

Add fully articulated fingers, an ab crunch and gas tank rifles with arm guards and a second trailer to as his jetpack, and we're good to go. TBH, now I really like the idea of a fully transformable trailer jetpack for prime.

That's probably a safe bet. Without TRU, Hasbro has no major retail partnership with which to sell the product, so they don't really have a stake in it anymore.
