Fortunately, even with the issues that some of these figs have, KOs usually have more issues. Sometimes they focus their efforts to "improve" one or two complaints on the figs they copy (a tightened joint here, a better peg there), but usually they still end up cheap and riddled with issues like lackluster paint and other joint/ peg problems. As a owner of three KO figs for parts, they are NOT improvements over their original figs. Those who buy cheap end up with just that, cheap. I don't think any company can trully stop KOs, but I also don't think any buyer of KOs is really getting what they think their getting.

I have several KOs and while I don't have the originals to do a direct comparison to personally, I have been impressed with the quality of most of them. I think they are like anything else, it simply depends. I bought my son a group of official figures from a $5 store and a couple of them were great quality, and a couple were utter trash. It just depends on who designs it and who approves of it.

Which KOs are you referring too? because while a lot of same size ss kos match that description, most mpm kos have improved paint and usually better joints, the only exceptions I know are the mpm3’s, osko barricade and mpm blackout.

If you want a good comparison see the mpm ratchet ko next to the original

I have MP Hotrod (bought to mod the knees and the arm blasters), MP Ratbat, MP Nightbird (bought to mod the backpack), and OS Grimlock. With the exception of the OS Grimlock, all of them feel like true bootlegs next to the officials.

I'm curious, what company did the KOs? Are they all the same one?

Not 100% sure. Grimlock came in a box labeled "Reximux Prime", Hotrod was trying to blend with the real thing, Nightbird was the same company as the Rose Arcee bootleg, and Ratbat came in a envelope

Yeah I’ve had similar experiences. Thunder Leader gets a lot of love from people but my experience with it was awful - chrome was weirdly sticky, plastic felt extremely thin, and tolerances were uncooperative. Looks great, but man even if it wasn’t bigger than I have any want or need for it just felt terrible.

I picked up Leader Brawl moments before walking into theatres to see the 07 movie and he’s been my boy since. But looks like he’s finally going to be retired from the shelf.

Yes the hollow underside of the turrets in bot mode, the altmode hinges, fused mine rollers and lack of integrated weapons are all quibbles that detract from MPM being 100% perfect BUT damn the sculpt, articulation and play factor are SO improved here. My Brawl doesn’t even have a sculpted mouth but my next one will be able to scream out his rage!

Very excited for this, the MPMs are increasingly becoming literal masterpieces as the line’s name implies and I’m here for it!

Unfortunately I think it’s a batch issue, mine has never seen the light of day and yet it yellowed over the course of a year. Lucky yours is not affected I much prefer the arms and feet on the OS SS than the mpm; the added telescoping fuel rod just cements the preference for me.

Pretty much what I was thinking, unless it's leaning on something on the right side, the missile pods cut off on the picture.

He looks amazing though I would prefer no battle damage on him especially the head.

So so far he just dropped in China and no PO anywhere in USA? Very strange I wonder if the ball was dropped or what the issue is.

F**king beautiful! 1st full cast of MP since 2004. And for both Decepticon and Autobot, with the exception for human characters! Bravo MPM!

Is this another Target exclusive? I cannot find anyone state side selling it. May have been mentioned but there are 70+ pages...

Hm, the ankles look kinda limited based on this. Almost as much tilt as the leader.
