i like how there's less comments about improved KO's than there are posts complaining about the improved KO comments. i'm sensing some insecurity...

Only posts I’ve seen as been KO talk is with other KO buyers. Curious that ya needed a meme that makes them seem hostile.

Improved KO quality are always hit and miss whether its quality or the thing you're after, you gotta really need to wait till the eggs hatch then decide which one to go with.

oh i agree, a lot of KO's are dumpster fires, but on paper "hastak MPM's have a run of issues with lack of paint, accuracy or tolerances and most of the KO's fix those issues" isn't really debatable. unless there's an entire thread of people jumping with joy over ironhide's chest, or megatron's paint, or bumblebee's entirely wrong car mode lol

I may be remembering wrong, but didn't we encounter someone who was explicitly calling MPMs shit in comparsion to the KOs because of "ThE iMpRoVed JoiNtS aNd pAinT"?
    Sometimes those people are hostile.

Yeah there's nothing like figures put out by companies where 95% of the work was done for them.

Not really interested in creating a back and forth, but my cheeky little meme is more of a visualization of what I've seen in the hundreds of pages in nearly every MPM related Thread I've read through, just as @Shmoptimus Prime has. It's utterly tiresome.

I mean yeah, the KO's are objectively superior in their own aspects, but as @VVa said, it isn't remotely difficult to improve upon what groundwork was already 90% done for you. I can order a decent Steak at a restaurant and then think "Hmm, this needs salt and pepper." and then proceed to apply some. Wabam, Improved.

Not to mention that the KO's aren't as much impeded by budgetary restrictions and can be produced at limited quantities and sold for far cheaper. As opposed to the Official releases needing to be produced in hundreds of quantities and priced appropriately for an international market.

That being said, there's not a damn thing wrong with loving the KO's because there is absolutely much more to appreciate. And it is also 100% valid to be underwhelmed with past MPM's as they have indeed made noteworthy mistakes. But to arrive on a thread specifically dedicated to the next MPM, only to go "I don't care about this, KO's better." (not to mention when Hide Shadow already exists.) Is just unnecessary to be frank.

I appreciate the KO's because i know Hasbro would never provide us those molds with such beautiful paint apps or slight improvements over design issues, however i can still admit that most if not all of them, have worse to awful tolerances and new mold issues or breakages in comparison with the official versions. Even the "holy grail" like BA Optimus it's a nightmare to handle and the fact some people pretend it's the end all ultimate figure is just laughable. That said, i still will get the KO's because of Hasbro's AWFUL management to make these figures accessible, seriously, why are these toys not available through fan channel like their silly WFC repaints?. It's like they're sinking their own boat consciously.

So I'm thinking they will take inspiration from the SS, but do you think they've looked at Hide Shadow for some ideas? Isn't there already speculation of them doing this with 3rd party figures? Because I really like what they did with the shoulders

Guys this is obviously AX9-8946-09SU-1, he's like the only heavy hitter left from movie 1. I do hope they nail the screen accuracy...

Im wondering if they will leave the underside bare like on the SS version. The main thing I'd like to see Improved over the SS is the forearm kibble and hopefully a none parts forming tail rotor. Also a nice forearm mini gun would be appreciated.

I mean, some of us have budgets and would rather get the cheaper figure with much better paint/more accurate details than pay more for a lesser figure. I’m glad people buy the normal figures and are happy with them, but if I have to choose between a $130 unpainted mpm ratchet and a fully painted $80 KO with sculpt improvements.. I’m picking the KO lol

I'm actually curious who it will be. I would hope that the 07 line gets finished (Though we did run into two snags with that plan with the BBM Bee and Prime) with a Blackout, Bonecrusher, and Brawl, but if we do end up moving a bit ahead, admittedly my first pick will likely be RoTF Sideswipe
