Hmmm, i know this figure is controversial, but it\'s really good in my opinion, details great, paint great, but whoopsie the prices!
And the upper arms look pretty thick there Still can't believe that people build their entire essay about accuracy in pre-production models and super old charts that even show Megatron with the first design for his head lol But then again they were necessary, love the articulation and now I'll wait for the BMB or grab the MPM at discount (because again, he's just too small) and of course buying the DNA kit later for thicker upper arms, even if a completely obsolete picture shows him being a dwarf with skinny arms, the rest of the bot is too good to be true, even the legs are great, a complete and absolute masterpiece
I remember people saying Blackout was the tallest bot in 2007 before Grindor ever existed, so this is kinda confusing
Also the new shoulder design elimitaes completely the issue of the small tabs/fake loose "butterfly joint" of both the OSKO and SS, that's the best thing about this figure at least for me
It's not a far fetched assumption. The Pave Low itself is a whole 26 Feet longer than Starscreams already gigantic F-22. Though as someone else pointed out, the Copter is mostly hollow in order to transport personnel and what not, so unlike most of the other Bots, Blackout has an excuse for not being as large as he likely could be. We never actually see him standing near the other bots either, so an accurate assessment of how big he was by comparison wasn't ever completely clear. Not to mention that his size inconsistently changed multiple times in 07'. The Copter is a biggg Mamma Jamma as we all know. But in this scene it's hilariously shrunken to almost the same diameter as the surrounding cars.
they need to do more of this, got a working sample? show it off as much as possible. showing off the comparisons with other toys right off helps a lot too, now i can see why this is a MPM
Right! This helps build the hype way more. Love that he was willing to answer so many questions. What decent fella!
Got to be honest. Except for maybe the hands, height, and any extra articulation it might have nothing about this stands out that looks any different than the studio series leader class to me
The entire underbelly of the helicopter mode, more detailed paint, somewhat more accurate arm proportions, and less crowded shoulder kibble are the big, immediate things. That, and the integrated rotor weapon. No, he doesn't look like a huge upgrade, because the SS version already did the base design really well. It's only ~4 years of design evolution, and not ~10 like some of the MPMs have been.
