Where is that Target preorder?? I’m dying from anxiety, and don’t want to suffer a redux of G.I. Joe Cobra Island

I hope we can get Blackout, Bonecrusher and Brawl after MPM-12...

I can understand that.. I'd say drop your standards a little if that be the case, but at the price point MP figures are going for these days, the quality of the figures should honestly match the price they're charging..

You're right, I should have said 'at least' instead of implying people should straight up handle the figure before judging it. But I also think it's equally as silly to judge a figure based solely on photographs. But, regardless of my opinion, I can't help but agree with yours and other peoples after seeing the figure previewed on YouTube. The robot mode does look nice, but the joints seem to be a bit concerning, and the alt mode isn't great either. They did a better job with the Studio Series 38 figure's alt mode honestly.

I expected it to be better than the $30 figure, that was the expectation set. I apparently should have aimed for a lower bar. Who knows, maybe it’ll be fun to mess with when it’s on clearance.

    What’s wrong with the joints?

Where the legs seem to have solid ratchets to make sure the figure can stand & such, the upper arms look like they’re a different story with only soft ratchets at the shoulders with how easily they turn, while the forearms meanwhile seem to have ratchets the upper arms should have instead. I could be wrong and I’m hoping they don’t skip out on important details, but if MP Taigatron is any indication... I’ll give them credit though regardless, because the back of the figure cleans up really well. I guess we’ll just have to wait for when the figure’s available for more in-depth reviews

Mpm12 proportions are spot on. No other version has the detail, shapes, or proportions as good as this one does

It really does, what kills me is the stupid shoulder design choice where the arms swivel within the red shoulder block which is NOT how the shoulder is supposed to work on that design.

That's fair. That, along with the weird leg pegs, are probably the biggest criticisms for his bot mode, but even those don't do much to dampen my excitement. I know a lot of people were disappointed but I just think the figure looks so good, despite the issues

I am also very excited for this one. I sold my Toyworld freedom leader as it was has unacceptably poor design and qc at that price range and if I wanted it as a statue I could have gotten a statue. If Transcraft does as good with a prime as they did with their Bee though then I'll definitely check that out.

This is true. Only 3A does it better from that POV. I'll leave it up to early reviews and more info to determine how the posability is. I wish we had gotten one of those sweet-ass stop-motion reveals like the last 4 MPMs have gotten!
Same here. If this one is less frustrating then it will probably become my go-to for this design of Prime.

Every Target is different, but the GI Joe exclusives have been a mess. On the other hand I had no problem getting my hands on the Target MPM's last time. I did have problems with the preorders (in fact one took over a month shipping- inside the US).

Personally I'll probably hold off on preorders for the target exclusives this time around. That seems to have been the only wrong way to go on figures that were otherwise easy to get. But you never know. They didn't seem to sell terribly well.

Never, ever go by what places like TFSource put as the price, especially for an exclusive.

Thank you for posting that link! I usually wait for a sale with MPMs (Jazz is currently $65 and I bought 2 for $120 last year) but I'm very tempted to just go ahead and preorder now. That price is only around $30 more than MPM-4 was so not bad at all. Having said that, I believe Ratchet went on sale before it even released so I should probably wait.....
