Man, I reeeally wanna like this guy, but that truck mode is beyond disappointing. I know they could do better than that.

(Also hate that he's fallen victim to blue window tyranny but I realize that's more of a pet peeve than anything.)

This looks really good to me. It's even more appealing than Toyworld's version. Plus at a much better price and not a design mess like that one turned out to be

His truck mode is a little odd. I wish the 'eyebrows' could collapse and sit flush with the truck face. It looks odd the way it is now. The rear isn't great, but it's at least better than Toyworld's massive rear end. The cat ears are weird too. I might just cut them off since they wouldn't affect bot mode much

I would have been perfectly fine without a Matrix, but since they included one, I really like that he's able to hold it with all of his fingers. Has that ever been possible on an Optimus Prime figure before?

It's because Bumblebee Prime is an amalgam of both trucks. His robot mode is the Marmon truck like Evasion Prime and his alt is the FL86.

I like it. There are a few items I wish were less jarring like the curved stacks, the panels next to them and the arm windows, but overall I will definitely be picking this one up.

My main issue with SS-38 was that the arms were seated oddly in comparison to the torso and head. They were too low and too far forward. This seems to correct that.

It’s already up for preorder on Star Action Figures in UK.

I won’t be getting this myself. Too pricey (although not so much for MP figures nowadays) and my focus in collecting is elsewhere at the moment.

It’s also not quite my cup of tea, (that exposed circuitry on his belly and inside arms looks weird and messy to me) but I do find the almalgamation of G1 style and the live action movies style interesting.

As much and all I I think the 3p's look nice, aren't they all too big anyway?

I can't think of any that are MPM size or SS size, as far as I know they are all made to scale with 3A and as such are too big right? So the 3rd party options can't really be compared to the MPM then.

Comparing the pics to the on-screen model, the 'cat ears' on the truck cab are there because those triangular slopes are positioned behind the smokestacks in robot mode.

I mean...really? They couldn't figure out how to get rid of two pointy areas so they just left them clear as day on the alt. mode instead of folding them down? Were they so obsessed with nailing the robot mode that they didn't even dare put a hinge to fold the things down?

That's typically how it works. Scale and accuracy are crucial until you need to excuse them to plug a 3P product.

In this case, the 3P stuff scales with other 3P stuff. So by plugging the one, they effectively plug the whole subline.

The Feet on the back of Toy World's is laughable. There is probably some mistransformation here. This will probably be half the price too.

I wonder how much it'll be. I haven't bought a MP figure in a while since they're too big, but this is really pretty.

Ah yes, nothing unexpected in this thread. My favourite are the people still complaining about the truck being inaccurate to the one used in the movie. What's next for you guys? A Bumblebee with Beetle parts that transforms into a Camaro? A Blitzwing that transforms into Shatters Jetmode? I hope you aren't the same people complaining about fake parts.

For reference MPM-07 is $80 at Target, so I’d be pleasantly surprised if this is under $150.
