Oh... that's a very good point! That definitely makes it more competitive!
Extremely pumped for this! Im just happy to see the MPM series continuing and I hope we get more than two per year because it’ll take forever at this rate.
Assuming it is true because I trust the leaks I cannot wait to add it to my collection, just hope we get more info about it soon.
also on the topic of skids and mudflap their ROTF deluxe figures make a great stand in being almost same scale as the MPMs
MPM for me has ranged from being just short of greatness with borderline fatal flaws(MPM4) to “getting there, yet some fiddly missteps remain”(Ratchet).
Hopefully this new MPM Prime doesn’t have some overengineered steps to kill the intuitiveness of the transformation.
"A small price to pay to retain one's kidneys".
I meeeeeeaaaaan there will definitely be a not-so-aboveboard way to rectify that...just saying.
Eh, better than overpainted to the point of dripping, chipping and having a bunch of extra's along with him that end up costing half a grand.
Ah MP-44. The Prime figure that will never live down it's stupid price tag.
You've noticed the alt mode in a blurry picture of the bot mode?
It's well established that BB Prime's bot design doesn't actually match his alt mode, since the filmmakers decided to use a different truck at the last minute, but I'm hoping Hasbro gives him the Freightliner alt mode he had in the movie, even if they have to cheat the transformation a bit.
So true! LoL
I trust Hasbro/TT designers. As long as the budget limit is not too ridiculously low, they will design great toys!
Oh definitely. I liked his TLK design and seeing his design aspects from TLK show up in the Evergreen Designs meant to essentially be the de facto designs to go for outside specific contemporaries is quite nice.
I will likely get this Prime, since it would be my first official MPM Figure (I could have gotten Ratchet, but I never was really fond of his character outside Animated and the Aligned Continuity), but then I know that if I ever did see a MPM Sideswipe (Roof on or Off, really depends on which one seems easier to make), MPM Jolt, or MPM Roadbuster, any of them are easily getting first dibs on my currently-on-life-support wallet and the contents inside before Prime, but until then, I do intend on getting this Prime first, and while I may look forward to this wholeheartedly, I can understand the grievance many others have because the line feels less like it wants to appeal to what it started to do, and instead wants to just get as much money as it can, like how the Prime here is potentially meant to be HasTak's "answer" to Freedom Leader, Fire Scorpion, Dark Knight, Aoyi Mech's offerings and everything in between.
Looking forward to this Prime.
I know it won\'t happen but I wish he would come with a Matrix.
That's fair, but I imagine that the smokestacks will likely not be the final design since those curve stacks are meant for a Marmon and not a Freightliner.
That was my guess since the smokestacks are not straight.
But yeah, i've noticed they're bended in bot mode, so there's still hope.
Here's hoping they use the Yolopark's design
I do have Black Mamba's MPM scale Sideswipe, and I really do like him.
However, when MPM Sideswipe happens, he will be added to my ever growing collection of Sideswipes.
Same goes for Crosshairs, Drift, Dino, The Wreckers and TLK Barricade.
I'd be all over an MPM Jolt, but sadly, they'll never release one.
Yes. Yes and Yes. Have been waiting for this!
What do you mean? The Aoyi Mech, Lemon Tree and Weijiang versions are great. All of them were knocked-off, out of the park some time ago
Would be interesting to what this version of BBM Optimus will bring to the table. Lemon Tree is good for its size, Toyworld’s truck mode seems to be downright unfinished, Aoyi Mech is off and Fire Scorpion has atrocious proportions. Toylab’s one does look promising.
Even if Hastak’s official one comes out and be the best one of them all (which I highly doubt), the Chinese are probably gonna improve upon it and spit out a better one in 3 months.
I very much doubt they can compare to Toyworlds prime with how good that figure feels and how perfect his bot mode is.
But, Hasbro knows how to make transformations fun, as well as good vehicle modes. I hope this prime is playable.
