Good review. I think if the price is right you could resolve most of those little issues with the DNA upgrade and still feel like you got your money's worth. Assuming you paid retail.

So this is how I'm storing the gun for now. The stock way it attaches to the back of the cab looks terrible, IMO with the handle and magazine sticking up like they do. If they had only molded some tab slots into the underside of the feet it could have stored nicely on the truck bed! This isn't super elegant but still at least looks like something, and if you shove it in between the legs right then it stays really securely, without untabbing the legs.

I store mine this way. It seems to look ok from the front. 20210813_072937.jpg 20210813_072926.jpg

I wish I could take credit for the idea, but credit goes to emgo. He showed it off in his review.

Great picture! But it really shows how dead MPM-12's eyes are. I really hate light piping. I'm already looking into a Gundam marker or paint so I can fix the eyes when I get mine.

Surprisingly their handshake connects very well together.

about to do my 2nd transformation w this guy. when it comes to posing, this is the best i can do for now. definitely more challenging to get him to look good.

Definitely agree with you on that one, the placement of the waist, hip, and knee joints makes him look awkward in a lot of shots unfortunately

You did a good job then. I was looking at that picture thinking “wow, you can do some nice dynamic poses with this guy!”, then read the text and thought…. oh.

Overall liking. Not so sure I’ll buy. I have the premium finish Voyager version on preorder and I was considering cancelling for this, but I’m spending a lot lately with Kingdom Rodimus and Galvatron (and a couple of other guys) finally shipping. I think I’ll just stick with the smaller guy. He looks almost as good and might edge the alt mode from some angles.

I think the issue is we all have become spoiled with double jointed knees and ab crunch.

i’m not sure if i would call expectations for an ab crunch and double jointed knees as being spoiled. it’s just a progression of figures. ankle tilts were never common until recent years in mainline releases, and when they start becoming a standard offering, anything that omits them becomes a disappointment.

i think my main gripe with his poseability is that his fixed shoulder pads give him the illusion that his elbows are stuck to the side of his body as he moves his forearms about. not sure if that gives the right visual i’m trying to describe, haha. imagine your arms tied around your body where your elbows are, and then you’re moving your arms around. obviously that isn’t the case here and i’m exaggerating a bit to make my point, but that’s all i see lol.

Sorry poor choice of words. I'm trying to convey/ask is he less dynamic than a figure with equal posing ability? Let's say MP-10 for example.

The shoulder pads dont really bother me.

I personally feel he is standard dynamic like MP10
