This STILL isn’t back up on AMJ since they canceled my preorder? I want the japanese release of this figure. Does anyone know where I might be able to secure that?

 

Other than maybe black screws compared to silver, won't the Japanese release be the same?

 

Sorry I’m not interested if they’re different or not. I just want the Japanese release. I can’t believe amazon still hasn’t put this back up.

 

i'm looking forward to your upgrade kit. Collabing with DR.Wu , I'm hoping the upgrade will have matching plastic and paint color as stock figure , because if they do , it will be cash printing machine.

Could you inform what are all the planned upgrade parts to be included in the kit? Previous posts have shown the arm and hands. What about the head (antenna ears) or others?

Update on the 3P upgrade arm:

 

Can't believe an arm improvement could do that much for a figure, it already looked good in bot mode before but now it almost looks like a CGI model

 

Wow, that actually looks really good. I didn't realize how off the arms made this figure look until seeing this.

 

Only real gripes I have is that the side arm detailing is a bit lacking, aside from that it looks really good

 

Now all we need is some kind of "spring-loaded?" ears to widen the head maybe and now we have a TRUE Masterpiece Bee Prime.

The truck mode isn't perfect but I personally love its truck mode, even though it's a mess

 

For anyone in Canada: I had pre-ordered this figure on sale from Toys R Us. They just informed me that they need to cancel my order for technical reasons (???) and that allegedly when they get stock in stores, expected to be late August now, they will allow me to purchase it in store and get my sale price. I have no idea how that is going to work. I also have the option to cancel the order, but I managed to get $30 off. Anyway, between this and the Japanese version being cancelled and not re-posted yet, it's all very strange!

 

Yeah... I think the main issue I truly had with the bot mode was the arms. Looks insanely better than the base figure. Truck mode is still pretty terrible, but the bot mode looks great.

 

Ah fair enough if it's just down to preferring getting the Takara version. I thought maybe there was a chance there'd actually be some differences like the varying window colours from the official Hasbro/Takara pics or something. It is strange it hasn't been relisted still. I wonder what's going on there.

 

I'm holding out hope that someone finally noticed that the stripe on the front doesn't match the sides and they're fixing them. Most likely not, but I will continue to dream.  

 

Upgrade kit is probably the only thing that’ll fix that inconsistent stripe.

Jeez man, I would like to know MPM-12's Lead Designer's reaction/comment on his figure requiring massive upgrade overhauls that it's getting to fix this beautiful mess of his, I'm genuinely curious.
