Double hinges on the panels are the devil if not carefully folded properly or you'll get stress marks guaranteed or a broken hinge. I always keep forgetting and MP44 made me pay that price, sure as hell I won't forget now.

So the kit uses the same technique of MP44 arms? Did it have many breakage cases?

MP44 has double hinges on the panels covering both sides of the cab which are then folded into the legs. And there's d-hinges on the inner legs closer to the thighs, broken them too.

So this kit for MPM12 should be fine as long you bend at the hinge from the side closer to your hand preferably, in an gentle "L" shape before considering collapsing the panels together whilleynilley haha. Mainly just feel it out.

I mean, the arms are less bulky. And no cat ears!

Hope it’s picked up by an actual 3p company and isn’t an independent kit. Things going to be more expensive than Optimus if it’s independent...

Same could be said for hands. Want better hands, get one of the other versions :p .

Yeah but hands are $25 MAX. Those arms are going fetch you $50 plus the figure at a $100 retail. We are $50 away from a ThreeZero Deluxe.

I want something that transforms, so it’s not an option even with that. I just want more accurate transforming figures.

Lol, I hope you're being sarcastic. Seriously though, the cat ears in truck mode is the main reason why this is the first MPM figure I'm skipping. It just looks horrible.

Nope no sarcasm, don't care enough about the ears to warrant a $50 upgrade kit.

My worry about that custom upgrade kit is if it's 3D printed it'll likely need to be handled with surgical precision.

We also can't ignore the legs/shins. The truck bed has a HUGE unsightly gap in it. Then there are those giant pegs on the shins and feet to keep the truck bed together. Honestly, with all the fixes required, it might as well be a brand new figure. That said, it is cool seeing what fans are doing to try and fix the issues. I'm very curious to see how they get around the cat ears with their design.

Yes I can and do :)

Aside from the weird hands, I don't really have any complaints with the figure. I could nitpick here in there point out things I'd like to see improved, but what's the point? If I want a 100% accuracy I have an option for that, its ThreeZero.

Doing some self-analysis that might actually be why I'm so forgiving on this figure. Because I have the ThreeZero version. Maybe if I only had MPM-12, I would want more.

It's not about accuracy in some cases. I own Fire Scorpion and it's not accurate or perfect, but it's aesthetically appealing. I can get the legs to turn into a truck bed that looks absolutely nothing like the movie, but it doesn't have a huge gap or need giant pegs to get that look.

And don't get me wrong, as long as you're happy with your figure, that's great. My comment was just for the figure in general, not that you have to hate what I hate.

Oh I know I get it no worries. I do agree though the truck mode is pretty bad I just don't care. Especially because I use my mp10 trailer to lye on top of it so you really can't even tell. The only remaining issue at that point is the bunny ears but those really don't bother me.

Some people have had issues that is not a Freightliner truck and rather a bastardization of a Marmon and a Freightliner. But I'm okay with that mainly because I have MP10 which is a pretty good Freightliner. And I am sure there's going to be another Masterpiece movie of this design only this time with a big Grill from Rise of the Beast. I'm sure at that point they will have iron out all the Kinks from this design.

I just wish all these complete overhaul upgrades for MPM12 weren't that flimsy 3D printed plastic, good for very minor upgrade kits though.
