thinking of buying Jazz as my first masterpiece. i go to college so i use two different addresses for my deliveries, so which one should i send it to? and will it come in a cardboard box to protect the masterpiece packaging?

 

Depends on where you're ordering it from, typically Masterpiece figures are sent in cardboard boxes for most retailers/websites.

He's from Vietnam, he probably got one of the production copies from one of the factories. He's noted that a reviewer named TonTon was being risky and alarming the Vietnamese Transformers community as he was taking figures early in production straight from the factories through one of his friends - which is obviously problematic and likely not very legal. He probably got MPM-08 in a similar way or even through the same person, but I could be wrong.

 

Wow he looks so incredible! And the SIZE! Might even be TOO big... and I love all the accessories he comes with! If there’s one thing the MPMs have been lacking so far it’s accessories.

I’m hoping they do an OPtimus V2 some day cause this Megatron deserves it.

 

That Stop-motion was awesome! My favorite part is when Megatron launches his hand at Jazz, I really wasn't expecting that! What a cool shot.

 

That was brutal! I only wish the voices came through more prominently. Without a doubt, best toy commercial in a long time if ever.

 

Okay, that one bit where Jazz gets knocked back by Megatron, transforms, then floors it off a ramp and transforms back into robot mode HAS to be a nod to the original opening sequence.

And it's THAT kind of alt. mode combat integration I've wanted for SO FUCKING LONG.

...so can we just hire the advertising guys to work with the Bumblebee fight coreography team? Because I swear, the advertising guys ALWAYS seem to have more fun and 'get' the nature of what they're working with more than the main content producers. The HUB commercials for Prime were probably the best thing from that show (Megatron turning into a Care Bear and decorating the Nemesis in christmas lights...they were absolute riots), and here you have a very well done fight choreography that shows off the transforming gimmicks as part of how they fight, instead of just giant robots beating each other up with oversized energy weapons with zero incorporation of the fact they shapeshift.

 

Both are very nice, but I wont be getting either as I didnt like movie 1 megs and already have a good SS jazz in my collection

If I’m reading that correctly, that’s such a dick move from that reviewer. Kudos to you Phamduc for thinking about the rest of us and for having an mpm this early. “Wow someone took an mpm from my factory. I hope they don’t go to some forum to show off how great it really is and how cool it looks. That’s a crime.”

 

it's still crime because it's basically stealing from production chain. Yes the pieces i received might have faulty or unfinished stuff here and there but by protocal it's still illegal. I don't want to profit from review the figure , just want to let you guy know what you guys can expect from the figure. Same as with my last MP36 review

I will be ordering MPM Jazz, when he finally goes up for preorder.

I'm actually a fan of the Premium leader from 2008 and feel this MPM is finally giving movie 1 Megatron the justice he deserves. EAGERLY looking forward to it.

I'm a fellow Vietnamese, which city are you guys from? My family from my mum's side lives in Saigon, I'm born and raised in Australia but I've been to Vietnam a few times. From my experience in Vietnam and just being part of the culture, if the people from the factory found out about TonTon they'll either not care much or will get very angry and get authorities to deal with him, and from what I hear from my dad it's not a pleasant thing.

Is TonTon not scared of doing early video reviews for these early production toys? I know you guys are concerned about him but I was curious if you knew his thought process. At least with his other reviews, they were relatively cheap figures and were a few months before their retail release. But this time it's MPM-08, it's a high priced figure and it's not supposed to come out until after 5 months.
