But probably 5x less the retail sales volume to recapture that budget.

I'll never get tired of posting this pic of my TRU MP Rodimus, taken after the first transformation attempt:

While part of me still wants a chance to own a 100% fixed, QC-free MP-09, I can't help but think this ship has sailed. I can't see a reissue getting an MSRP below $150; at that price there are a lot of figures out there that can outperform a seven-year old mold.

I've got the black variant so this version would be a warm welcome.

It's obvious what has/hasn't happened here. Light your darkest hour moment was an epic fail. That's not how it suppose to roll???.....

Glad I waited all these years, its the only new mold mp I have yet to acquire, was hoping for an entirely new mold. Unless they are making a new mold, and milking the mp-09 mold one last time...

Oh God please be true. If this one has better QC I can finally sell my Carry. If this is the case, we probably shouldn't expect a Rodimus Prime 2.0 any time soon.

Yeah, thanks but no thanks. This mold looks pretty, but that is it. Worst MP I have owned. I hated transforming it and felt the figure would fall over with the slightest breeze. Throw in the stressed parts which led to figure destruction and you have a recipe for failure. And people want this reissued? Save your money guys for better figures.

Still a fine looking figure but they need to sort out the QC. Main problem is, the figures joints are all to small and fragile for such a large figure. The Hotrod/Rodimus switch is also crap and with MP-28 now here, it is also pointless. Minor tweaks like the hands and face would be good. I'm wondering if they are getting these out before announcing an entirely new MP-09 mild?

Hmm I will never trust a Hasbro Asia reissue again when they differentiates from the orignal, like paint apps and QC issues. Look at the MP-08x Asia reissue for example.
But cool for those who doesnt have the original and maybe Hasbro Asia will make a good reissue this time.

What was the issue with MP-08x?

I have the TRU version which is still MISB and will stay that way, most likely. So it would be nice to have a chance to get this reissue to open and display. Hopefully TT has fixed the issues on it before they reissue it.

Ok forgive me here if this has already been said, but if the scale has been changed as it has been why would takara reissue a figure that’s out of scale and will continue to be out of scale going forward? Especially one that had issues I mean why not just make rodimus prime in the current scale instead, honestly I’d much rather buy one in the current scale.
    Or maybe they will
Didn’t MP5 gold get a final reissue right before the new MP-36 in scale version was announced?
Maybe I’m wrong but That’s the whole reason I have my masterpiece collection so everything is in scale.
    Just craziness!!!!!

It's actually in scale though. He scales with MP-10 which (unless it changed and I missed it) is the benchmark for scale for the MP line going forward. The problem is....well it just had lots of problems. Mine was a V2 release and even then it blew off an arm just sitting in the box (Surprise!) and the back tab doesn't hold very well. The arm coming off cause is pretty clear to see due to a really heavy spring being put into a light piece of plastic. Too much stress over time and blam!

I rebuilt the joint with a lighter spring and all but I'm still leery of him being more than a really cool shelf piece and that's it

I wonder if this means an improved MP-09B will come later with improved knees.
