How is the quality on your 2019 reissue? How does it compare to your v1?
"good price" is a very subjective thing, BBTS has him $230, same at Chosen Prime, just depends on your wants.
Just thinking as soon as I buy it v2 will pop up u know?
Well, full painted figures looks like anything but cheap, compared to barebone plastic figures...
Then what are you waiting for?! We all want a v2 here, take the bullet for us dude!
IIRC, MP-09 has Hot Rod's shade of red, and the trailer has Rodimus Primes shade of red. Since they have a separate Hot Rod now, a repaint that's Rodimus Prime's correct shade of red would make sense (if they don't have plans for a V2 at the moment). Be another chance to fix those QC issues also.
kinda jumping ideas there sparkles, cartoon deco doesn't automatically mean full paint, but, if you want Masterpiece figures with no detail and lots of little bitty panels and gaps to go with those panels then more power to ya.
His shoulders were too high also. But all n all he needs a V3. I have the reissue and while hes better than my 1st edition hes still dated and not as screen accurate as he could be.
The line that you want is called Generation, and MP went to cartoon style from Ultra Magnus. Ah, if now i buy a cartoon deco of a carbot, is full painted, so yes, to me cartoon deco = full paint.
And for clarity, we were talking about cartoon deco, not style (Rodimus already suffice as cartoon bot). There are a lot of Transformers with simple transformation yet cartoon accurate, like the Datsun, Wheeljack, UltraMagnus, Shockwave...
yet none of the ones you mentioned have full paint...
But he mentioned the cartoon decoes specifically, which are fully painted.
Since Hot Rod is covered, I'd like a Rodimus that's just Rodimus, no age up/down gimmick. I want me a good space-Winnebago.
So i've the only plus version on the earth, cool.
Tbf, UM is the only one not full painted (and Starsaber too), but i think there will never be plus versions, due to cost and popularity
The uber screen accuracy has done nothing but make MP figures be ugly as crap, be unnecessarily way overly-engineered, and thus cost an absurd amount of money that is also unnecessary, and all this excessive engineering has caused MP figures to have more QC issues than ever. The vast majority of collectors hate this new direction, it's a bad direction to go in. Arguing for it is just stupid and ignorant. But I guess that's what these Geewunners want: ugly, overpriced figures that aren't worth what they cost and can hardly be considered a "Masterpiece" in any way, shape, or form.
Really an over reaction here.
So you don't like the line, that's fine. There's plenty of others that can satisfy your itch. Buy what you like, no need to put down others for having different tastes.
because it's a fact, not an opinion. Elitists running around acting like this is what MP should be and that this is better than what MP's used to be doesn't help.
A little harsh but your general understanding of the situation I agree with.
...which is an opinion.
