The legs on MP-09 extend a bit for "Rodimus" mode. It's not a huge difference, but it's enough to make him almost identical in height to MP-44:

I think they go really well together! For being released so far apart, their aesthetics are pretty darn similar. In-hand, the biggest discrepancy is MP-09's mostly bare plastic vs. MP-44's glossy paint job.

I always liked how Rodimus and Optimus looked together in the photo below:

Can someone recreate this photo with MP-44 and MP-09 and upload it on this thread?

Hi... Okay I got the reissue mp Rodimus prime and the elbows tend to pop out and get loose, and I can't get the old face to tab in proper... Anyone have this issue... I have it beside my original... is there a fix?

Maybe there’s flash plastic preventing the helmet to be pushed down all the way? Mine doesn’t have that problem.
As far as the elbows, I think that’s just the design flaw. Iirc, this version used the Hasbro elbows and not the Takara version.

Short of dismantling the head I can't spot the flash plastic, but you're probably right, I just called bbts for a replacement... His lower left torso flap is also warped... And the spoiler stays in place due to the hinge having a tighter tolerance. This is just out of the box... I have the version 1 and his arms and head are great... His torso, back pack etc are just whack... Selling him asap..

Thanks they seemed cool, took some pictures... For the price, I shouldn't have to perform surgery...

Ended up transforming him and the head started to correct itself... But not so much... Still took it apart, no luck... Also didn't know that the exhaust pipes on the trailer come off

Was hoping hastak would make a v3 but no luck. Anyone with better research skills than mine know where I can get a good price? New or used

I still have the V1 version still intact with no issues. I must have gotten really lucky.

I think that if you escaped any problems with the ankle springs, the V1 is actually the most "durable".

The V2 tabs together much better, but had those awful elbows, plus fairly common reports of the windshield hinge cracking.

He was on sale in December at bbts where I swapped out my v1 for the 2019 reissue (only one visible difference) then sold my v1 on eBay... They were around $150-200 then, now you're looking at $200-300

So do you think there will be a MP09 plus instead of a V2?

Lol. He was already pretty much cartoon deco... What should be retooled now is the face and matrix chamber.. But the deco aside from parts on his back are all cartoon style... Unless you want while exhaust pipes instead of chrome.. Then, probably not.

What is it with the desire for slavish cartoon deco anyway? It makes all the figures look cheap.... I mean look at mp Hound...

Doubt it. A V2 is a definitive thing. It’s a matter of when, really; rather than if.
