For shipments going to the USA, Fedex Smartpost is the only option. There is no way to select a different shipping option.
He started using this method for USA shipments a few months back, to the chagrin of many customers. I guess it is the only way for him to offer free shipping to the USA and lower cost on his items.

    Thanks!
Look who decided to drop in on a rainy Los Angeles afternoon:
    5A47399C-EC9B-475B-93FF-BA66FE1DEE90.jpeg 82E190BB-44E4-4035-9654-92C6E7F512D7.jpeg
I’ve inspected him outta the box and so far so good!
I went straight to the trailer, since I’ve only seen it here in photos. Magnificent.
The only minor issues for me are:
AB15C964-9549-4C25-A2AC-294486CCC01C.jpeg Bad paint in that recess, don’t know if it’ll show upon Prime Wagon mode

Scuff marks on the rear of the Shaggin’ Waggin’. D816E199-F99D-41F2-BAFA-055589066F46.jpeg 473B5014-390F-4444-9997-7E33C2B53E25.jpeg But only visible in some angles.
And finally, the autobot insignia is off-center just a tad. 9047C188-5FF4-479A-AB3F-512EF28B058D.jpeg But like I said these are just minor issues that don’t take away from the figure.

    Oh yeah the figure!
His joints are tight. So far in robot mode he hold together excellent.
Backpack is securely tabbed. I’ve put him in two poses and the backpack nor the front hood have untabbed. Even his rear spoiler wing is tight. No wobbling around like my Hasbro version.

One minor issue, which was brought up by a previous member, his left foot position came packaged differently than his right. I wasn’t able to position both feet on the same position of the ratchet. A little moving of that foot back and forth through the ratchets and finding that extra joint far up his ankle helped find the correct position.

Paint on my figure is impeccable. Will have to transform to find out his altmode paint.

This was/is my holy grail since Father’s Day 2014 when, after ogling this figure from afar, I settled on buying the Hasbro version. Upon opening it, his shoulder was detached from the rest of him. What a bummer. Now, I can finally enjoy the figure I wanted some years ago!

Now to transform him to altmode!
Thanks for reading my enthusiasm for this gem.

Thanks for the overview and pics! Despite the few mentioned flaws, looks like you got a pretty good one. Hope to see your impressions and more pics of shaggin' wagon mode after you transform.

I’m in love all over again!
I may be one of a few people that enjoys transforming this guy. Yes, it’s scary in few places, not too intuitive, and not forgiving- those legs and feet have to be perfect or it throws everything off!

Only issue in altmode, is the driver’s side chromed pipes don’t tab in as intended. Could be user error (legs/knees were super tight) and those dang feet. It still tabs in though, actually it may be the thick chrome paint... F3C02B12-E5DD-4E09-8AB9-4CEEDD1A74E1.jpeg
gonna take a break and do Space Winnabego mode.

Tight tolerances for the spoiler. I tested the spoiler before fully inserting it and did get some paint scuffing.
Scuff be darned, I was gonna put him in there no matter the cost.

The spoiler as far as I can tell.
    ED853F56-8B54-47D7-8B0A-9777769B8A08.jpeg
I noticed the paint on the spoiler is not glossy like my Hasbro version but more of an eggshell.
    And of course... F742C18A-7DE2-4FA0-84AA-03FAAAF7A650.jpeg

Looking good, RM! So much more premium looking than the Hasbro, it's like night and day. And a much better build from the sounds of it to boot. Thanks for sharing pics and thoughts. Congrats on your grail. Enjoy!

Man, just seeing those alt mode pics reminded me of what a finicky, fiddly nightmare this thing is to transform. Nothing locks into place. You can't really "handle" it in either mode. Definitely one of the most utterly disappointing toys I've ever bought.

I was totally satisfied with the Hot Rod remake. I'd love them to do a proper Rodimus Prime version that has some actual stability to it.

That’s how I felt about the Hasbro version. From the shoulder disintegrating, to the floppy, robot mode where chest and bb don’t tab in, I was utterly disappointed with the figure.
This re-issue, feels a hell of a lot more different. I’m beginning to think that the reason my copy of Hasbro Rodimus is so floppy is the lack of paint. The paint adds thickness. IDK...
I’m just glad the reissue, so far, is not plagued with the issues of it’s predecessors.

Just got my reissue out and transformered to car and back. Was not too bad, definitely worth it IMO. One issue I did run into was the helmet not staying all the way down in Rodimus mode. Their is just a small gap between the top of the face plate and the helmet. Not enough to look bad, but enough to notice if I look closely.

Is the common? If so is there a fix?

Not on my copy. I did notice the blue goggles were hard to swivel down.

Have you tried clicking the helmet down all the way? I found the positioning of the faces did bear some affect on whether the helmet would go down all the way.

I believe I have, swapped back and forth to hot rod face multiple times. Pics for clarity:

Here’s what mine looks like when I do the face gimmick
C2E6EF97-A4D9-435F-AFC5-A192B4641D42.jpeg Hot Rod’s face should go all the way in so that it rests on that black stopper piece.
7A32A19E-4524-43FD-8F38-5733B269450C.jpeg That’s what his face should look like, pushed all the way back.

    A0062A6F-738D-4651-ADC6-2869B6FC3B62.jpeg
    Hope this helps.

I notice that the top of Rodimus’ face plate, stops at the hinge for Hot Rod’s face
