Honestly, still good sitting on my V1. Had to do a number of small touch-ups for tolerance issues, but otherwise, I've transformed him a lot with no breakages.

But if this is true, and this is noticeably improved (a better backpack clip being one of my top priorities), than I might bite, if just for the peace of mind.

My V1 Rodimus sits perched on top of a detolf holding the Matrix to the heavens. I have yet to transform him. The guy I bought him from said he wouldn't advise transforming it due to possible breakage so it just sits in a cool pose. I'd love it if they fixed all the issues. I'd definitely buy another one that I could actually mess with that's not an OS paperweight.

And if they do make improvements, I'd love a better rear spoiler, ala how it looks in the movie.

I sold mine for crazy $$$, Just because I know TT would be crazy not to release a new Roddy.

But I'm willing to grab this only if they fix it completely. We should be able to transform this without disintegrating the fucker by only looking at him.

And the fact that reputable stores have not confirmed PO's, makes me wonder if this is indeed a real thing.

I could see Takara/Hasbro retooling it to remove the Hot Rod form, and just having be a Rodimus Prime. I think that would fix a LOT of the issues. otherwise, I think Takara should just do a new MP Rodimus Prime figure, especially since they are doing a new MP Optimus Prime figure.

This actually may be why they're re-releasing the MP-9 Rodimus Prime fig. Get one more run out of the mold before a redesigned figure is released next year. Or maybe they're gong to finally give us an official MP Galvatron before year-end to go with MP-9. Wishful thinking, I know.

Most of everyone's wishful thinking. Except those who are happy with 3P offerings or that TT's new MP's are too expensive, or just don't care or not collecting MPs.

    Did I cover everyone's demographic?

I wish someone would hurry up and release more information about this! In two minds whether or not to order!

The old Rodimus MP it's way better than the "touch me and destroy my chrome" one.

"but the figure's main feature is the ability to transform into the robot and vehicle modes of both Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime."

"The transition between the two incarnations of the robot mode involves rotating the face plate and extending the legs, while the two vehicle modes incorporate unique front ends, just as the original toys had differing hoods and windshields."

Hmmhmm, so what is the size of the altmode and the "front-car" in particular, if thinking of mp09/mp28 size-difference  o_O

Well, Takara did offically reveal a Golden Lagoon MP-10 figure at the same time as officially revealing their new mold MP Optimus Prime, so maybe when this gets officially announced, they might give us a hint to a future do-over?!

It has design issues that go beyond QC.

For some reason Takara has no idea how to properly design Hot Rod or Rodimus
