Despite being really disappointed with the hip area, and the legs not being able to move backwards at all, I think it's certainly worth the argument to say that this is the best soundwave toy ever released and in my book will probably be worth a purchase.

 

Yea toyarena gets them and sells em separately for 20 a pop. Captured prey gets them and gives them away. RK gives them away as well.

 

Honestly, the back of the cassette recorder isn't that bad considering the 3-tape storage gimmick and deployable shoulder cannon. I mean, it's no worse than the back of the MP-10 truck mode and bottom of MP-11 jet mode.

 

Didn't realize CP gave them away! Pretty cool.

I know BBTS has sold them separately, and sometimes they are included in the package, but they leave the price alone.

TFsource upped the price on their MP-10 when they found the next shipment had the coin in it.

Guess it really depends on who you choose.

 

Yea CP got them with MP-12 but didnt get enough so he gave em away at random. BBTS got them separately but sold them for 9 bucks which isnt too bad. Goes to show you whos in it for the $$$ because those things are promotional items to be given away. Toyarena flat out goes with the $20

It's only with the Chinese edition I think????? Well one edition comes with the coin it started with MP-9 up to MP-14 so far.

Nope there is tearing for each one, well you could get MP-14 out without tearing if you are careful. If you don't want to ruin the packaging I'd recommend you leave them in.

Guys its not random. It comes with the Asian market editions. The Japanese editions don't get it. For example robotkingdom usually gets the broader asian market edition and has always included them so far as i know. BBTS usually (but not always, you can ask btw) gets the japanese release version which usually comes without. I know because back in teh day I cancelled my BBTS MP rodimus (jp version) for a robotkingdom order of the asian market version that came with the coin. i have a prediction it will be even easier to tell which version you get very soon....the instructions will be in different languages I have a feeeling (based on one picture of the new soundwave instructions).



just checked the seibetron gallery.
suspicions confirmed. that instruction book is all in chinese. no way they'd write the whole thing in kanji if it were japanese. again, the coin is there, and its in chinese so its an asian market release. notice the hasbro.com.cn sticker o nthe bottom of the box....therefore its definitely a hasbro asia release vs.a takara japanese release (even though they are identical).

 

Yeah, no high hopes for getting it with my BBTS order but... damn. That Seibertron Gallery... it's so perfect.

Well, that's not true. The batteries are just not very good. I mean, not as bad as I had expected, but it's terrifying to me that the Titanium did... anything at all better than the MP version.

the answer should be, "why not?". i mean it couldn't add that much cost to the figure. i mean the tiny cheap ones that read TF cards (micro SD) are like $6 all in. lol. how hard would that have been to implement that? my guess is not very. how cool would it be to stand MP soundwave on your desk and have him play tunes while you surf your TFW2005? lol. i mean you can get the music label one (i have it) but that one only plays up to 2GB cards and lets face it doesn't look nearly as good as MP-13.

that being said, i'm not caring they chose not to do it. i'm just excited its finally being released end of this week!

 

I've got to say, the latest photos comparing to G1 Soundwave... The Masterpiece does look better but it really shows how advanced the original one was. The alt mode on the original almost looks better and the articulation was ace. Plus the cassette bots look really, really good in comparison. Masterpiece is better, but man, G1 set the bar high.
