    He's beautiful. I'd like to add the standard n00b questions i.e. anyone know if Hasblo has expressed any interest in the mold and any idea on pricing?

    It would have been nice if the papercraft energon printout came with Soundwave. Just one extra paper.

    Can't wait for this to be added to my big pol.

    We typically don't hear a peep from Hasbro regarding their MP releases until well after Takara has released their versions first. And even then, Hasbro's just tend to suddenly show up without much advanced notice.

    I really hope Hasbro does one with all cassettes included. I wont mind paying a premium for that but 300 bucks just seems a bit too much.

    Does anyone know how Laserbeak compares size-wise to the original G1 version? I was wondering if the tapes were still mini-cassette size or closer to actual cassette size.

    I believe he's referring to the cost of the Takara version with all tapes.
    Weren't they originally shown to fit inside the tape deck of a G1 Soundwave?

    They're exactly the same size in cassette mode, and the holes are even the same size & placement. Long story short: the MP cassettes will fit inside G1 Soundwave, and the G1 cassettes will fit inside MP Soundwave.

    The former add-on weapons for Ravage & Laserbeak/Buzzsaw are now self contained in the transformation, and the weapons for Frenzy/Rumble store away inside MP Soundwave's lower legs. Even the pile drivers combine to form a sort of battery pack looking thing that connects to Soundwave in alt mode. Lots of forethought went into this one :)

    Meh, glad I cancelled my pre-order for this. Just doesn't look that interesting, especially not for ~$160.

    I'm getting more an more excited by the day! Soundwave looks AMAZING! $160 for a piece of nostalgia from my childhood is totally worth it.

    I can understand why some people might take issue with his back. There's a lot of added detailing where none was previously in the original show, comic, and toy. And also, the high level of detailing on the back doesn't quite jive with the clean, simple lines of the rest of the figure. It's not an issue for me, but I can understand why some people might not like it.

    They got the face dead-on though. If I had the money to drop, Soundwave would definitely be in my collection.

    Also, that megatron gun looks gigantic. Soundwave looks great all around though.
