Why does the cape appear to be hinged? Does it transform into a coffin cover for after Galvatron blasts him or something! :p

The cape seems to be moulded from plastic. Not sure I like that at all.

I dunno if I'd call it a minimal difference:thumbs2: . That was always one of my greatest complaints regrading the MP seeker mold. I HaTED the hip kibble with a passion. I used to just pop it off and attach it to the seekers legs.

I can see why people are unhappy with the decision and to be honest, I'd rather have a new character too.

Here is my question, is this figure just updated to resemble the original MP SS prototype?

It's so apparently close to the first mold on first glance, one might understand why there wasn't exact confirmation on what Takara had planned.

Still a "Probably"...but detail reviews are months off.

Oh dear, starting to think that I might actually want this thing.

Why can't we get better pictures? It's very frustrating that they leak prototype pics, but make them really poor quality, clearly they've done it deliberately.
Oh and TC, give us more info dammit!

While I can't imagine them justifying a price like that, the fact that the most recent MPs have been large, full-of-features sets makes this new partial-remold seems like more of a letdown than it is.

It just feels a bit lazy in comparason, imo.

Mehhh... not sure on this. Pic is undewhelming, to say the least. I really want a good look at the headsculpt!

Molded cape is kind of weird. Reminds me of those early Spawn toys. I don't really care for it.

    That's what I'm thinking now...

Pretty underwhelming at first glance, but I said the same thing about the new MP-10.

As of right now my money is going to both the igear seekers as well as this "new" Starscream mold.

If they can produce a future MP thundercracker retool using this mold, I'll be more then happy paying $150 for it. MP-12 please?

N'ah you have to buy a new Ghost Starscream first, and then MP11 memorial edition... that one will just be a pile of ash.

I see posts like the one I'm about to make and I usually roll my eyes, but here I go.

The Masterpiece line needs to End. It was an Absolutly wonderful Brilliant idea for the first 4 mold. but Rodimus was a....sketchy choice at best and cost an absolutly unrealistic sum. and now if true the point of the MP line is to get 5 toys in....and then redo them.

Honestly, Me personaally, I don't want or need an MP Soundwave or Shockwave. And I think any G1 characters that could be realisticly done in this style have been. really it seemed to be more of a companion line to Alternators/Binaltech and that line has ended as well.

....Now if you guys want to start doing MP Beast Wars figures with fur and Jurrassic Park style Dino SKin....then Hey sign me up.

Not sure what do think of this yet. It's early and I kind of don't trust prototype photos.

I'm not going to start over buying all of the same characters again if that's Hasbro/Takara's plan. I don't have enough space as it is, and I have better things to spend my hard earned money on. Its a shame they decided to pull a move like this mid-stream in their masterpiece line. It is one of my favorites, and there were so many characters we haven't seen yet.

That takes care of putting it on another page.

It looks like most of it was unchanged, as the wings look identical. The legs, especially the feet, look different though. & the hip kibble's been fixed.

Yeah, I was getting the vibe that this might've been that original MP-03 Proto, too.

So, though the jet & bot modes are necessarily nearly identical, perhaps the transformation is better? As well as leg posability?

The question is: will MP-11 be about the same size as MP-03? Since I don't have MP-03 in G1 Starsceam colors (as stated earlier, I did get a cheap MP Skywarp), if Hasbro releases it, I'll probably get him...

As has been posted multiple times, the link on the front page shows a "regular" price of 13,000 yen (about $169.14), as well as a discounted price of 11,050 yen (about $143.77).

No, the one after the new Ghost Starscream would be a release identical to this one, but have a bio about the body being the one Unicron restored... Maybe w/ a big scrourch mark where Galvatron shot him. :lol

Not sure yet - I need to see more of this before I decide to drop the money on it.

Heh, looks like a Revenge of the Prototype...which is good....but is it good enough for people who already own the MP seekers ?

Wait, so it's the current MP Starscream with design cues from the old prototype??
