turned out great! some articulated hands would really be awesome. very nice, top notch work, and best of luck on ebay, he should do great!
Very Nice! Just gotta have this guy in the collection! What colors/brands did you use for him? They look spot on realistic man! A how-to on this guys build would be AMAZING! And much appreciated!
just wondering...are u using classic UM or KO optimus...because the mouth plate seems weird to me... anyway very good representation of UM.. =)
WHAT THE F*CK PICKUP TRUCK!!! ....... THIS IS EPIC... G*DDAMMIT now I need to swap my RID/G1 Classic Magnus custom.. and try to copy your work completely cuz... damn I seriously looked at the pictures for over 30minutes and the whole time my mouth was opened!!!! Please I beg you can you give us more pics / wips etc. so I won't spend days to figure out how you did it?????? thnx man!! (BTW you can also PM if you like that better)
He looks awesome! I definetly want to see him from the back though, and, what are those pegs on the back, connecting to UM's legs?
Awesome job. The Classics voyager is painted perfectly in all white and the G1 trailer is all modded up together in a way that makes the third party stuff look weak in comparison. For some reason I also really like what you did with the voyager's original arm kibble making its way to the bigger bot's midsection. It's like a small nod to Powermaster Prime. Is that G1 Topspin's legs on the trailer?! I'm going to have to look into this once you put it up for auction.
just curious. the base prime seems to be from KOTOYS. tell tale are the blunted mouthpiece, recessed eyes, lesser details on the grill and the obvious clear windshield. but u do have a nice take on this updated G1 magnus.
Thanks for all the positive comments gents, Yes the base fig was a ko nemisis, part from the undefined mouthpiece it was of good quality and much like the original... Plus I wanted the clear windows The trailer splits into 3 parts. 2 legs prices and the whole arm back piece. Body armour piece sits on top of op and attaches to the chest piece which is held by the ops folding arm doors. There are two pegs on the body armour that plugs into the side of the arms.... See those holes in topspins leg pieces (good eye zombieballs) The arms where disassembled and arranged back to front from it's g1 config. They are attched by a peg added to the trailer that plugs into ops roof slot. leg armour is attached using ball jointed struts (struxxx). Added a connector into the back of ops legs. Same connector added to bottom of trailer. That's pretty much it... When I went about this building this my main concern was proportions... Coming from a 3d character modeling background proportions were so important. So I tried to carry this through without much sacrifice. Another point is that it is structurally sound, I can grab it and shake it and it won't crumble and fall apart! I will get a back picture sometime later
