    You did?

I was soooo angry when I found red Tracks in the stores back then. Tracks had to be blue because the art, promo pics and the cartoon/comics had him so, and all we got was the red version while I knew a blue version existed in the USA.

I considered it another of those annoying things we got: no Swoop, no Perceptor (and I never found Blaster), some of the cars never were sold here nor were Thundercracker and Skywarp -- until the Mexican invasion.

I thus refused to buy Tracks back then until we got the blue version. I later regretted this, because the red version is much prettier, hence why I have the e-hobby version with my G1 cars and didn't buy a replacement for my G1 Tracks that disintegrated.

    Thank you.

She does. Hopefully they'll do a black one with a faceplate.

I did notice that there was a red Tracks looking figure on that artwork 31 years ago back in 1985 :D

I got my Road Rage and Tracks in over the weekend from HLJ. Over all I like them, but I think I've been getting spoiled by 3rd party figure heft with all the diecast that companies like MMC and FansToys use these felt a little light.

It's also a little crappy that they didn't give Road Rage a flight stand like they did with Tracks.

personally a bit miffed about that one too, definitely takara/hasbro's way to get people to buy their new stand by not including it with MP26

That is pretty damn cool looking. I made a mock up face plate for Tracks that looks alright, especially with Road Rage's gun. I'll make a better one someday.

Anyone wanna buy my Road rage? I haven't even shipped it yet from Anime-Export. You pay cost, $41 + shipping of your choice and I'll have it shipped directly to you.

But Road Rage was cheaper than Tracks, at least at Japanese retailers, by about 500 yen, the approximate price of the stand.

Its not huge, but she also is missing a Raoul equivalent.

As ugly as I find the stand, removing it is a very stingy move. Of course the real reason for it being missing is that they're selling clear versions separately.

I just realized... is this the first female Masterpiece figure ever made? Or are there other variants of existing characters recast as female?

I'm just sort of grasping at straws for the possibility of one day seeing an Arcee and/or Elita-1 MP. I'm still sort of shocked no one 3P has tackled them in MP scale.

Nice to see at least one fembot in MP form.

Try as I might, I'm simply unable to see any feminine looking differences on Road Rage vs Tracks. The thinner chin?...perhaps. Somebody mentioned something about the feet being different, waist maybe? She just looks like a red Tracks with a different face. Add in the ginormous gun and the name "Road Rage" and it further pushes me away from the whole argument she's a she, other than the marketing. I showed a few random friends the pictures and asked, what gender? None guessed woman.

Not like it's a big deal, but when I compare RR to figures like Arcee or Blackarachnia, I find those figures hit the whole feminine thing a lot better. But I suppose it's because those are designed from the ground up to be females. A slightly retooled and repainted MP is going to have a tough time coming across as feminine, IMO. I know nothing of RR's history in fiction; is that where she became a female character? I'm assuming her red Diaclone version was just a red repaint. Did it happen in the IDW fiction?

Just some thoughts. The toy looks great, IMO.

Thanks! No repainting - just weird photos. :D

Fair enough, although of course female characters don't necessarily all have to be overtly 'feminine', in the same way that male characters don't need to be all big & butch.

To be fair, I'm sure that wasn't exactly what you meant, but just trying to chip in as I think Road Rage as a figure does a great job at portraying a powerful robot that could be female, but doesn't go out of its way to try and be 'girly'. Equally, no reason that a female Autobot shouldn't have a big gun! Makes more sense on her than it would on a lot of male Autobot characters, IMO. She's a warrior! :)

There are numerous differences to Tracks, including new head, waist piece, thighs, hands, biceps, and of course the gun. It's the most extensive retooling of a repainted mould that we've had on any carbot thus far.
