    Hello all,

I recently sent my MP Convoy for a topple, not too big, just his height, however it was enough to get a scratch in the blue paint on his leg. Is there a piant I can buy from a hobby shop that would closely match it? If anyone knows?

    Much appreciated!

    Fred

If you had a 20th Prime, you could do a leg swap and then battle damage the scratched up leg on the 20th Prime (since he has "battle damage" paint apps anyways). Just trying to help you make some lemonade out of some lemons. :thumb

Post a pic of the scratch. If it's not too deep, you might be better off coating it with a polish like Future Floor Polish.

I think its all the way to the metal. I see silver coming through, unless they used a primer? I'll get a pic.

Oh and I don't have hasbro's version at all. I didn't like the battle damage

and I rather spend a few bucks on some paint then 80 on the new hasbro one.

    Here's a pic.

It looks like it went down to the primer. The actual metal is a darker color. You might try to see if some shop around you might be able to match the paint.

Or, as superquad7 mentioned, you could battle damage it and using a small ball peen hammer to dent it and then paint black around it.

That tiny little ding on top of the vent? Just get a blue marker and color it.

So no one has tried to match this paint before?
My wheel replacement project has been on hold partly because I couldn't find any paint that was close. I have the Hasbro version, and it's a subtle metallic blue. All of the metallic paints seem too metallic and all of the solid blues look too plain. Not to mention I never found a matching blue metallic or not.
