It's pretty normal for retails to.have discounts like that. The whole point of having high MSRP is to seduce buyers with discounts .
Oh, I know that but you always get those the preorder price doesnt count people, some who have never been in a japanese store in the first place. I still think the MSRP is a reflection that TTMall only used to sell exclusives and most releases didn't receive a discount at all. Now that TTMall sells exclusives and general release hence the higher MSRP while stores are able to have 30-35% discounts and still make money.
Primal's on his way from AmiAmi via EMS, got my LR44 batteries ready! First Beast Wars Masterpiece Anything I need to know about MP-32's transformation, tips and tricks to be careful about?
In fairness pre-order prices doesn't count if you can't get them for whatever reason (admittedly none of TT's concern) and are always the same (around a 30% discouny on RRP). So sure you can more often than not get 30% off but if that price keeps going up its still a bitter pill to swallow. The transformation is really intuitive and fun, however there are a few clearance issues here and there(mostly withe geting the beast head inside the robot body). Be careful not to scratch of chip the 'textured' paint that covers the majority of his beast mode...it's stupidly delicate. There's also a fix you can do to get the shoulder pads to sit more flush with the arms in Beast Mode.
Almost exactly like the original release and being a "Prime" it probably cannot get more simpler than this guy. Picked up the reissue myself a few weeks ago from TCP. Better than the 10th anniversary encore boxset IMO.
Same. I’ve just seen clips and no spoiler reviews. But from what I’ve seen, the show is just Prime. (Rimshot)
Man, @Sam, so stoked you’re picking this guy up. Also, I second the commentary from @Booster Gold on the transformation. Probably one of the most enjoyable MPs I’ve ever experienced in that regard.
Indeed, no reinventing the wheel here, they took what worked with the original toy and improve upon it. I'm sort of looking forward to not having to care so much about damaging the paint on my original one and being able to handle him more, once the reissue comes and replaces him as my 'Display Primal'. Having more than one copy of a figure is not something I ever thought I'd do but this guy is so good I bought him twice....it has set a disturbing precedent though...second Cheetor pre-ordered!?
Hahaha, I went down that rabbit hole a long time ago. I almost want to get a second myself!! He’s such a good looking figure.
I've wanted to, thought of getting a second MP 43 but I don't need it. I'm careful enough with the transformations, that I believe a second isn't necessary but that Megs Alt mode is fantastic, as is for all the BW MP so far. Having said that though, Primal is my only OP in my collection so far and I love how much detail the put into this guy especially the paint apps. My favorite form of this character too. For those about to experience the show for the first time, you're in for a treat. If you can look past the dated animation, like you would for the 80's TF shows, it shouldn't be difficult. The writing on the show is the best out of any TF series. I just finished my rewatch of Beast Machines and while not as strong as BW, an excellent conclusion. Like I stated before if TT continues with the Beast era in MP, I hope we at least get BM Cheetor, is alt mode is gorgeous..can't imagine how awesome a MP would be. Glad other MP collectors are expanding into BW. You wont be disappointed.
