MP Soundwave + Laserbeak transformation questions So, just opened up and started fiddling with my MP Soundwave and MP Laserbeak and have a few questions: 1.) I cannot for the life of me get Laserbeak's head camera to pop up. Tried sticking a thin instrument (ex. Cotton swap, nail) in there to push the flap down in the back, but the pressure is leavining a mark on the paint apps. Any tips to flip up his camera? 2.) Is Soundwave's waist supposed to actually thrust forward/ back? The transformation instructions make it seem that way, but I cannot get it to happen and am afraid I will break it. 3.) Is Soundwave's volume knob meant to spin? My is completely frozen in place... Thanks in advance!
Don't know what to tell you about Laserbeak's camera other than maybe put a piece of fabric over the pointy object you're using to avoid scratches. Soundwave's torso does indeed slide forward relative to his waist. Takes a little force, but I haven't had him or Soundblaster break yet. Be very careful transforming the pieces on the side of his legs, too. Those joints are a tight fit and are known to stress and break along the pins.
Cool; thanks for the response. I saw a good explanation in the UK toy thread that details how to apparently minimize the leg transformation stress issue - hopefully that'll help. Still no luck with Laserbeak's head camera though. Its completely locked in there BTW, is Soundwave's volume knob suppossed to be able to move?
Yes, both of the buttons on the back of Soundwave's legs move, though the roller has a limited range. Hate to hear about the camera. I'd suggest to keep trying. My Buzzsaw had the tight tailfin but I gently and firmly massaged over a few days and coaxed it into place without stressing the plastic on the joint.
does the camera flap look like it's in there correctly, or is it kind of wonky and a little off center?
Both of my Hasbro Buzzsaws and Laserbeaks cameras were stuck. I use a small knife and pried them out then put them back in their "proper" spots. They work just fine now. While it was tough to remove them I didn't damage either of them.
