So I brought this Ironhide for a masterpiece UK marvel Impactor which when it arrived I held off doing for quite a few months as i just loved this figure so many options and poses.

I was pretty happy with the outcome unfortunately as time went on he ended up scaling way too big with my other Wreckers, recently getting wfc siege Springer I liked how him and wfc Impactor scaled together also been trying to complete my G1 masterpiece collection 1st 2 seasons and Ironhide has been left to near the end so it made more sense to restore him back again than buy another one again. I bet everyone thinks I'm mad lol.

Anyway managed to get off most of the paint with nail polish remover but struggled to get in all the small areas so ended up giving him a complete go over with fresh paint plus added a few new details like smoke/depth round the face. Most of the modding was reversible which helped too

 

Looks good. You should get the add on kit for him.

Well that's definitely different. First ever un-custom I've ever seen. I like the silver face. That really pops!

 

Nice work bringing him back to his original look.
