I've been calling for Ironhide since Starscream came out.

 

Personally, no, 'fraid not*. If we're making sensible nominations for "leading" G1 Autobots who warrant MP overhauls, I'd rather see a modern take on Jetfire. Ideal chance to make a toy of the cartoon design!

After Rodimus Prime & Galvatron, I'd actually be surprised if there are any more G1 Masterpieces - after all, the focus has been on leader characters (repaints of the Starscream mould being the exception). Other series' might get the MP treatment tho, which could be interesting. Still, you never know what they'll do with the line..

* - unless it were completely awesome in terms of design, engineering, and articulation, of course  

 

I've been picking up all the Hasbro versions of the Masterpiece line so if Ironhide / Ratchet come out, I'll pick them up as Hasbro versions too. It'll be worth it for Takara to do this one since the G1 toy was done really poorly, there was no binaltech version of them, and the classics version didn't look good in vehicle mode. But I don't see Takara doing them until 2013, after Galvatron.

 

Ironhide = bought immediately. But that's kind of obvious for me.  

Ratchet = not so much, when it comes to G1, I could think of others I would rather have.

 

G1 ironhide and ratchet mps I would buy...I mean I look @ the A-team van and think " if someone will turn this into ratchet (looking @ kingbot,frenzy rumble, or any of the kings of radicons)....

 

As long as it's a G1 representation MP, I'm an automatic buyer.
