I am probably going to get one of this mold but I am not familiar with either character. I would have actually preferred hot spot for this mold, but given these two, which one should I get??

 

Maybe the one you can spell the name of correctly?  

Seriously though...get whichever one you like the look of best if you really have no connection to the characters...or get familiar with them and decide from there...or don't bother with either. You wont see an MP Hot Spot with this mould because...well aside from the fire truck thing.. he didn't look anything like these two.

 

You should be the one to tell me about "spall" ing  

 

There's not much to choose between them, but the splash of orange of Grapple is welcome amongst the Autobot ranks.

 

Grapple. Though I'd wait for the inevitable Artfire repaint.

 

I think Grapple is the better looking figure of the two (more paint aps and less ludicrous accessories, but Inferno is one of my G1 favs (and the headsculpts the gave him is tremendous). If you were going to have both characters I would say go 3rd Party for Inferno and Official for Grapple. If not just do Inferno.

MMC Inferno (Backdraft) and Takara Grapple. I have Backdraft, and he's outstanding.

 

There's no right answer here, it just depends on you and what you like. Personally I have always preferred Inferno because he was a cool looking firetruck with cool red colors. Your own preference may vary.

 

Depends if you want to display Inferno with his partner in crime MP Red Alert. But I'd say go with whichever one you look the better of the two.

This right here is why I've decided not to jump on Inferno for now.

 

I have neither, but this is my preferred setup. Too bad about my money tree never sprouting though.

 

Inferno all the way, Grapple was always whining about his solar station.

 

I am also only getting one. I am going with inferno because I had the g1 toy. I think you should get grapplr because of the orange. There are a lot of red mp figures and the orange should look nice in the collection.

why well simple grapple is a forgetable character to start with, but if some one asks what does he turn into you can turn around and say a fire engine something that lets be honest is alot cooler and fun to say then a crane.

I myslef im geting both and why not, serously pick inferno to start with he will be the one that is harder to get in the long run and will be worth more as well hense why it makes sense to nab the one that will cost more in the long run ealier.


MP is a long game not a short game use your head pick and chose what you think will cost more in the futer and put your effort into that then go get the other later

I like Grapple more, esp from the G1 toon.

 

MP Grapple is insta-buy for me. It just looks right!

As for Inferno, I'm having doubts, even though I already have him pre-ordered. I'm thinking this one might lead to buyers remorse. I'm still leaning toward one of the 3P offerings because the official one looks bland.

 

Inferno, because he comes out first. Enough said.

Also, he's one of the few G1 figures I own, and I can't wait to compare them together.
