Nice of them to jack the price up $20 online...although I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they do the same in-store.
They've been doing it in store for a while. Rumor is that the $60 price is left over from the old Grimlock release, and they were supposed to be $80 from the start.
My friend who got one in the Cincy area in store said they were already marked at 79.99. People will have to be lucky to find an old shelf tag. I saw the one from Oklahoma/Arkansas or wherever it was someone had that shelf tag, but probably because they hadnt corrected yet.
Mine shows "Item(s) located in Warehouse". I'm hopeful. I ordered at like 7am this morning, the same minute I woke up and saw tweets from friends on my phone. I'll be damned if I'm giving 100+ to some scalper on Ebay.
Because they sold out. TRU has no earthly idea how to manage inventory or take preorders, so it will reappear randomly over the next few weeks, sell out quickly, and then disappear again.
At least it didn't go straight to cancelled. Hopefully you'll at least reserve one out of the next shipment.
