Hi all, MP Galvatron now complete. Poseable figure, non-transforming. I know, sorry, the mechanic didnt start out right but I am happy with the overall outcome. It is missing the Decepticon logo on the chest, as it is on its way from Reprolabels. Here are some pics for you. We shall start off with Figure pics. Then, Coronation scene, followed by the fight for the matrix and lastly, the Leaders and sidekick of Cybertron in MP fashion. Hope you guys like it. Coronation: Stuggle for the matrix MP Family
His chest is HUGE. That needs to be fixed - should be easy since he doesn't transform. Other than that, very nice.
Yeah, that chest needs to go. And since he doesn't transform, I personally, would take the treads off the arms. But that's just my 2 cents. Other than that, he's pretty cool looking. That Soundwave in the group pic is really badass too!
Good lookin' Galvatron! Love the big arm cannon and the colors are great! That Rodimus is awesome too! Hope there's a gallery for those MPs! **scurries off to the Radicons galleries!**
Not quite sure I'd personally have the balls to call it a 'Masterpiece' if it didn't transform, but to each his own I suppose. Any LEDs? Sound? You've got eight or so pictures of two poses. Can we get something that shows off the articulation a bit more? The custom looks decent enough, I would just like to see more. - Alty
Hi all for the comments. Thanks for the critics.. it is some honest opinion that will make me improve on my customs.. Okay.. so I have added some new features. The neck, belt and the shoulders. Some action poses in the pics. Not sure if you wanted more. The arms are articulated, the legs and sturdy, bendable and poseable. The head has 360 degree movements and the back handle articulated.... No lights or sounds.. sorry, I am not at that level yet. Regarding the reference to MP, sure, I can see what you mean. I will post to say MP sized in the future if it offends anyone as it stands taller than MP Prime. Though I dont think I have ever seen an MP sized Galvatron made and thats why I attempted one. Fair comment. Hope you like it.
Oh, you didn't offend me. I was merely trying to relay a personal idea of my own in regards to what defines a 'Masterpiece'-class figure. I understand what you mean, completely. Galvatron here is a big boy, after all. I really like how you incorporated G1 Galvatron parts into this custom. And I honestly don't think that he's really all that far away from being able to transform into something. All I can see with this guy is potential. I would love for you to continue to work on him. - Alty
Thanks Alty... Sure, I started out with the intention to make him transformable... And you are right... Its not far from being able to... I had an issue that went wrong half way through... That was the cannon. I wanted this to look G1 but 1.5 times bigger. However, with that, its made the cannon extremely heavy (resin). So, shy of cutting down the cannon, to attach to the head, I would have to sacrifice the shape of the head and it made the figure look G1 more than toon like in bot mode which I absolutely hated to have a crown like head with the great big hole in the head. I will see if there are anything else I can do, but shy off flat topping the head and adding a connector piece, or have a small flip top head, thats about all I can think of. What do you think? Would love some ideas, but I will keep investigating. Thanks for posting on my threads.
