Good luck selling that at that price with the TRU reissue imminent.

It'll sell considering it's 500+ to get that color scheme.

My worry is more mold degredation.

are they using the same mold as the tru release? It'll barely be able to stand.

Yeah, just saw this email and I am a bit worried about mold issues, and possibly grey plastic color considering how the TRU reissue looks pale in color. Any production #'s known or anything else collectors should be informed about?

Is this the first time a MP exclusive has been rereleased in Japan/Asia, or am I forgetting something?

Surprising to me either way. I threw in a preorder since the deco has always appealed to me...but July is already expensive for me with SDCC, so I don't know if I'll keep it.

As someone else noted, the original Toy Hobby Market release of this has commanded rather large prices on the secondary market. It's a specific version of Grimlock, so it has its own appeal. It's a bit different than, say, another rerelease of MP-8 itself.

I can't recall any others being re-released like this off hand.

I'm actually quite tempted by this. I've always regretted passing on it the first time around. I just love that silver paint, but I have to decide if I love it enough to spend $250 on it. Although I guess I could sell my original MP8 since I wouldn't want or need both of them.

Before gigapower and fanstoys tossed their hats into the dinobot/grimlock game, I would have been all over this reissue.

Now? That's a giga or ft grimlock paid in full. Easy pass.

I'd be down for that at $150, but at $260, way too much, even considering the killer paint job.

Huh, I knew 3rd Party companies were making the other dinos but I didn't know they were making Grimlock - and he's being made by two different companies even? Are they going to be much different from MP8? I think MP8 is pretty much perfect so I'm curious to see how he could be improved/changed.

I preorder this as soon as I saw it. I was planning on getting one of the Toys "R" Us reissues to have one in dyno mode. I always regretted not being able to buy this much shinier and prettier looking grimlock. Now I want this one in robot mode and my original Toys "R" Us one in dyno mode. Might have to not get some of the hot toys I wanted but I'm not missing this again.

I wonder what the chances of this being sold for less through an Asian retailer are.

Does anybody remember what this originally sold for on BBTS? Was it $229?

I always liked the comic book packaging.

Darn does that mean my 08X isn't gonna be worth what Amazon/Ebay say it's worth anymore?* :(  Thought I was sitting on my retirement fund right there :) .

    * I'm assuming those are owners just dreaming, right? He wouldn't actually be changing hands for those silly prices?

Look at the sold listings. This one just sold for $770 two days ago.
