If you dont plan on going back and forth it's probably not an issue, but if you're regularly going to transform and go between modes, they'll probably be some wear. I wouldnt have mind if down the line they did a toy trailer or even a more PMOP trailer, I really prefer tampos for larger areas or where the surfaces aren't completely flat.

Oh for sure. Tampos are the best option. But since MP-56+ and 44S went with stickers I’m assuming we are not getting sticker detail tampos any more. Which really sucks. But in this case they would have had to sell a toy version trailer with painted sticker details and they are most likely assuming there isn’t much market for that. I believe they are going with stickers now to give buyers the option without dedicating an entire repaint for the toy version.

Hasbro has been limiting joint range for a while now. Most of the time, there's not really a good reason for it, either.

That said, I'm not going to not put MPG09 Super Ginrai on my CHUG shelf just because he can ab crunch while other figures can't.

I mean, even Cyber Battalion Optimus Prime can ab crunch.

Yes, but I think I would want to be able to remove them so would prefer acrylic clear plastic inserts. My hope is for a 3rd party to make them so I don't have to alter his look permanently.

    I don't think so no.

Not ideal, but seems easy enough to paint.

    Or

I'm almost certain a 3rd party will make a Marvel comic upgrade kit.

    Not really.

    This...

In US consumer protection regs part of the definition of a 'toy' is that it is marketed as a plaything for children under 14. Hasbro simply stick '15+' on the MP box slips so they are literally not even toys. That's the full extent of what they are doing to comply with any US toy regs. And when more tricky regs are in play, as with gun Megs, they just don't even bother. Not blanket stating Hasbro and Takara never even consult, but there's really no evidence TT pay much or any heed to US requirements or desires. 100% not a fact at all that TT follow US toy regulations!

Pretty much this. If ML Megs ever got made, it won’t show up on Pulse. Don’t even hold your breath.

Still say " HasTak" is one the worst terms coined in this fandom. It implies they are a joined at the hip, step by step entity, versus two business who collaborate on some things but are free to do whatever they want, with 2 different markets. Even pricing, Hasbro is a much larger company who is able to produce so much of an item, they can keep prices down. Takara on the other hand is a smaller entity, who is region locked into only the Japanese market. Prices are always going to seem higher on Takara's own ventures.

Fair enough point on the age thing, that certainly helps them significantly. Though given they so far haven’t skipped putting anything in pulse, I question them not thinking about it at all.
Specifically on this comment we have a recent figure that proves they do to some extent. It’s not MP, but it confirms Takara can/does certainly pay attention to US toy regulations as it is sold on pulse with an age rating of 8+. Ultimate Optimus primal.
