I have and love Siege Jetfire as well, however sometimes I feel like it’s an oversized voyager. At that scale, I would prefer a more involved transformation. It’s not bad, it does the job and displays well.

How dare the actual rights holder to characters, make the characters they want to!

 

1. They don't really care if a 3rd party makes a character that they are now making, it's their characters after all.
2. They'd only stop 3rd party from doing characters they'd do if 3rd party sales actually affected theirs in a major negative way. And through customer loyalty that you can find on this thread and the fact most of people who buy HasTak products means they won't anytime soon. Remember when Takara was releasing MP-44 at the same time as TE-01 and MS-01.

I mean, 3p is pretty much always better so they are really just hurting themselves. I mean look at Mp44, Hound, Arcee, and Starscream, multiple companies put out better products for less money, that had to have hurt sells. They obviously are aware of 3p, so why not make characters that don't have a good 3p version yet?

 

Cause if 3p really did hurt sells than action would be taken against them. 3rd party MPs (since we're in the MP section) only produce around an average 5000 figures for their first fun for popular characters, and I have a feeling Takara makes more. It's why the only time in recent memory Hasbro "went after" a 3rd party company was Zeta, and even that was just their Unicron.

I remember reading here on the board a bit ago that some people in Hasbro have said they are kinda OK with current 3rd party for doing characters that they don't have plans to do. As they know that if they wanted to they could not only do them with more people buying them, but they could also easily stop 3rd party if they wanted to without legal action. They asked people why they collect 3rd party a while back and 3rd party CHUG has been basically dead since shortly before POTP. And you know what came out around that time? War for Cybertron trilogy. With the only time since WFC started that it looked like there would be more 3rd party CHUG was with Fans Hobby's Armada Prime. But Takara showed their WFC style version and then suddenly FH was selling an MP Armada Prime instead (but Takara's never came out so they didn't even really need to change it lol (still grateful they did tho)).

I hope it's G1 Jetfire as it could possibly be Bayverse Jetfire. Not worried about scale since Seige Jetfire was scaled properly. I'm sure this one will be too.

Glad I didn't get Phoenix as they're starting to pop up, well, less than $400.00. It's a great fig, but if there's a real one (more than likely for cheaper at that)... well.

It's like everytime I'm strongly considering 3p, the real version comes out. Arcee, Sunstreaker, MP44, Shockwave, and now (hopefully) Jetfire.

Think I'm gonna hold out on a 3P Springer at this rate. Patience....
