I feel like it has to be Titan Combiner size because it seems like it would be pretty difficult to make 6 masterpiece sized figures combine into something the rise of a prime wars scramble city combiner.

Unless you arre specifically curating a Masterpiece collection, I feel like collecting G1 stuff at this point is either get everything ever if you're a crazy, rich person, or just getting whatever works well enough for you in your collection. I'm the latter; while I never sell anything, I will buy certain characters until I get one that's good enough. I have bought a lot of Jetfires over the years; and the most recent WFC version is more than "good enough." I can't imagine a Masterpiece offering bettering it, and especially not for whatever the obscene price will be.

I am interested in Raiden, but again, I doubt it will be remotely economical.

Yep! Text says "Skyfire and more are being developed".

On Raiden size, it says he'll be similarly sized to the Unite Warriors line. So my bet is they're not talking about UW Devastator but the other combiners.

Very happy about that news, personally.

Would make more sense for them to use the cartoon name, as that's what the MP line is all about nowadays. Besides, they never got the Jetfire toy over there.

Skyfire needs to be the same size as MP-24 Star Saber. Don't care what 3P did it needs to be that scale.

Skyfires (plural) is a mistranslation. Text says スカイファイヤーとか. とか basically means "and stuff; and more; and others". So they're saying they're working on more than just Raiden and Skyfire.

Lol! US is not the target audience! :p

Can we get him with removable armour added on like the Don Fig Dreamwave design? That’d be cool, and I’m sure Harmony Gold won’t mind!

In fact, I’m surprised some add on kit hasn’t been made for Siege Jetfire, like from DNA designs or someone...

If they do an animation-accurate G1 Skyfire, I shall become excited with the force of 100,000 blue-giant suns and the exuberance of 200,000 youthful virgins.

Hmmmm... I wonder if this is true. I have Fans Toys Phoenix and I love him. He's big and beefy and actually fun to transform, unlike a lot of their figures. I actually sold off all of my other FT Bots, but kept Skyfire. I just didn't think they would ever make one or could top Phoenix as he is pretty much spot on to the cartoon. I will keep an open mind though, I'm always willing to upgrade. I mean, I am going in on all three new seekers. I do tend to like Takara's engineering better for the most part anyway.

I hope maybe now that there will be official Skyfire figures at both CHUG and MP scale, either a third party or Hasbro will finally make a really good, more traditional Jetfire. Not a straight-up remake of the Valkyrie design of course (that wouldn't fit in stylistically even if it wouldn't get them in trouble), but a hybrid design like the old Classics and T30 figures, just executed better.
This one would be perfect. (Preferably Leader sized, I prefer how he's usually portrayed in the comics as kind of big but not huge.)

Very curious to see how they'll convince me to ditch the FT Jetfire in favor of an official rendition. I wager pricing will not do them any favors.

So MP Raiden may be about the same size as a CW/UW combiner, eh?

    Sounds like some Masterpiece/CHUG hybrid.

I was patient and landed mine from a collector that took pity on a newb like me that's only been collecting for a year this November. I paid the low low price of 260.00. Cheapest shipped I've seen it lately is 299.99 from Showz.

LoL if it is... FT's will be safe. Granted, it depends on how TT costs and looks. Hoping that its below 400 on Japanese e-tailers. I'm guessing they will go hella 'toon and thus I stick him with the MP-36+ figures and FT stays with the MP-9/10 era figures.

Takara's market is in Japan first and foremost, so when looking at it that way, Raiden being first makes a lot of sense.

Though I do also hope Devastator sees his chance soon. Though the confirmation of being at UW height is a bit iffy for me, IMO.

While this is a bit of a long shot, I really hope to maybe see Skyfire by the end of this year. If so, that would just be an absolute dead ringer for me, haha.

This scale picture is interesting. If they go with this scale, Skyfire would only be a little taller than MP Ultra Magnus.

I actually kinda prefer that scale over how he's shown in the scale chart, which is what FT based the height for their version off of (even though it's a little off).

I don’t know that I’d want an MP Jetfire, not when the Siege one’s so good.

I feel as though if I didn’t collect Transformers and I just got Siege Jetfire on a whim, I’d be satisfied, because he’s so big and there’s so much fun packed into that toy.
