Are you saying it’s all the Bayverse fans coming in and ruining things? How dare you. Sure, you’re obviously right, but you shouldn’t punch down like that. They can’t help the way they are.

Well, let's see them upscale it to exact MP57 size - no change of engineering/joints/connecting tabs allowed - and then see how that works out.

Me Too! How are our BBTS brethren making out? Have they gotten theirs yet or in-stock soon notice?

whoever said it had to be a straight upscale without any engineering changes? we already know legends size doesn’t require robust joints, and we know how it goes when upscaling their figures (look at their prime v2. spoiler alert: his articulation is better than mp-44, at the expense of ratcheted joints).

you’re telling me they couldn’t have added ratchets to his elbows? you’re telling me they couldn’t have figured out a way for a better ab crunch (which is what the mp was severely lacking when trying my earlier pose)? or tighter ratchet teeth for his hips, knees, and ankles (ratchets are already there, so it’s not like they’re adding to the parts count for budget concerns)? just because he’s larger doesn’t mean articulation has to be hindered.

They could - but the point to bring up the legends version goes out the window the moment the engineering has to be altered again for MP size. To hold the big weight etc, they would have to resort to heavy ratchets etc, not to mention the added cost of re-engineering all of this (taking change of tolerances into account and so on).

We all know the MP prioritizes the canopy sculpt over waist swivel and real abcrunch - and toon accurate transformation scheme also plays a role in this.

Anyway, I suspect Takara went with the heavy ratchets waist down for long term durability and for the sake of the Gerwalk mode.( easier to get the legs in the proper position).
Elbows? Tbh elbow joint friction is plenty sufficient on my copy.

I kinda picked BBTS for this reason, so I could give the big burning crater in my wallet time to stop smoldering.

So just got mines, looks like I had some of the gunmetal vent paint get on a piece of his chest. Its not a rub because an eraser would have took it off, i was thinking about gently using some 70% alcohol to rub it off, any other ideas?

    Skyfire's here!

(And not an astro-second too soon...)

    Everything looks good, so far.
