I already have the siege mold in SG Jetfire so i'll likely pick this up.

 

It doesn't work for an MP collection though because he's too short. Seige is a good figure, just size wise (and look wise), it doesn't really work for MP.

 

He can work if you put him in the background.

 

I’d say, in my infinite wisdom, this guy will go the MP29+ route and cost 1K later. No joke.

Jetfire is one of the most stand-out characters in Transformers lore. Why would you display him in the background? I'd understand that for variations of Sideswipe or one of the Datsun brothers, but not Jetfire.

I think a lot of people might want to consider that interpretations other than just FT Phoenix's face sculpt can be valid.
But I guess the fact that legends 3P simply copy pastes his face onto their figures is telling enough.

That said, this MP face sculpt is decent but not as exquisite as the entire rest of the figure - then again, it's also the easiest part to replace with potential aftermarket sculpts, either way it's no deal breaker for me.

 

Yeah, I like the Siege one better. The mini-figs look cool though.

I’ll say that Siege has some problems with proportion, but when it comes to this amount of coin I’m just sticking with what I have.

But a bot to bot comparison between MP Skyfire and Phoenix would be really interesting.

 

I think it depends mostly on what style you prefer - they're such vastly different interpretations of an already inconsistent style source material.

Perhaps put simplified;
FT Phoenix - Rectangular
MP57 - Triangular

I happen to lean towards triangular.

Verily. FT probably did their own more chiseled Adonis look to skirt the IPR just so much of a 20% difference to skirt the TM Police 

Also, all this talk of a derpy face(not you btw) harkens back when MP 21 was first announced/release no? Noooooooo so derpy then MP 45 is released then we get again another noooooooo
