Heh. I missed that but I did recently receive MP Magnus*... and yes. That's quite a flap. Great figure otherwise, though.

Back to Skyfire. Lovely. Tempted but I'll leave it for now. Bit pricey and the Siege version is pretty good.

*I'm very late, I know. I just got MP28 Hotrod too this week.

Is there a size comparison between the 30th anniversary, seige and this one? I got the seige edition for a steal, one of the Walmarts near me had clearanced them out for 15 dollars. So spending 230 for the same figure even though it's an MP, does not sit well for me.

For comparison, this one will be close to the FT Pheonix (FT will be slightly taller I assume since I feel that their figs are slightly upscaled). I think that EMGO does the comparison on his Seige Jetfire review.

To each their own, but the siege figure has no place in an MP collection. It's a fine figure for the line it's in, but boy would that look ugly with MP figures

And there's no shame in that. Just saving money. That Siege Jetfire IS one hell of a good toy.

(Speaking as someone who IS getting this.)

I was tempted to buy Siege, but the sculpted details were too much to fit in my collection. Went for FT Phoenix for a premium (299 USD). I did PO MP-57… but still not sure if it will beat FT-10. The FT is just an amazing figure! Albeit lacking in articulation.

really looking forward to the first in hand comparisons!

Those mini figures along with the cockpit and bays made to put them in, is just icing on the cake!

I want a whole Takara set of those for a G1 cast!

Its an often forgotten about aspect of MP design is how the conversions match the onscreen ones to an extent. MP52 comes to mind in that regard, as well as mp44 in where the crotch and arms end up.

I completely forgot about the minis of Jazz, Wheeljack and Optimus that come with this guy.

I hope this bodes well for an MP Jazz, as the other two minis have MP versions.

Imagine these going put for delivery in the next week and a half and Takara drops the Jazz and CJ adverts. Pandemonium

What do we think the best route to order this guy right now would be? Robot kingdom is $100 to ship to me in the US. Movies unlimited is like $230 shipped but I’m not sure how well they handle MPs (I asked in the MU thread)

Also MP-22 with the way his torso rotates 180 degrees. Straight out of the cartoon and a nice tip of the cap to the fans who grew up watching the show.

I was surprised how many compartments there actually are! I knew of the two cockpits on top, of course but didn't realise ,(or forgot) the others.

Loading mode is...a thing. But the two main modes look great.

Wait, isn't this how the carbots actually scale with Optimus? So much for the carbots being too short, looks like Takara is doubling down on their " official height".
