Finally transformed this guy. He’s wonderful. Well, mostly wonderful. Definitely the one that’s going into my display though, despite some feelings I have on a few things.

The one thing that is *really* disappointing though is the really uh… limp … hand cannon.

Is it really supposed to be this … limp? I’d make a joke but it would be a little crass. Is there any way to tighten it up? Blue tack I’m guessing or some future are my only options?

Yeah it is pretty bad, I’m half hoping for a 3rd party solution for the hand cannon, DNA perhaps?

I've yet to transform him (shame on me, I've had him a while now)but I've seen it mentioned a lot so I think so.

Also heard that it doesn't droop so much if you don't extend the barrel.

That reads kinda wrong. No innuendoes intended.

I think it may actually look better with the shorter barrel.

I think it was not meant to be extended that far. At least until the chrome covered part.

They're all like that. An unintentional plus to me since he frequently angles the hand cannon in the cartoon. But it holds better if you extend it like 80%.

Yeah it sucks. Limp as hell.

Like @artimus prime says, extending it to 80% seems to help a bit.

Tightening up that cannon is pretty easy. I did it months ago, and it's remained solid.

When their "MP56 reviews" sound and feel like more of an outrider advertisement.....

Never heard about that guy, but a lot of reviewers/opinionist (the latter more) commented that review.
    Gotta validate their choice, btw.

People with limp hand cannon should think themselves lucky. Mine got stuck and wont extend anymore.

I was fine with how the cannon looked in it’s “limp” form (but not small in my view). Sorry you had to go through that. If it can still transform and fit the cannon in vehicle mode, that’s a plus at least. Hope you can still enjoy him.

Do other people's opinions bother you that much?

A youtube "reviewer" is just a dude with a camera with plenty of time on their hands. He/she is still entitled to have an opinion and prefer stuff you do not like.

    No.
But when a 'review' is more like a personal manifest of style preference against it, it becomes a bit hard to take the video seriously as a review.

Wow, still available and even on sale at most places. I wish I'd waited. But man, this must be one of the most unpopular MP's of all time. I really liked him despite some of the odd choices TT made with him. His transformation was amazing, fun and intuitive. And for what it's worth, from what I've seen of MP-45 and MP-51, he seems to be the better looking figure and definitely more fun to handle.

But it goes to show how character prominence can work for or against a character.

For me MP-56 is the epitome of what the MP should be:
    - a detailed licensed alt mode, with some gimmicks if possible
    - Fun & intuitive transformation
    - Show accuracy bot mode
    - great articulation
    - great paint application. I really enjoy the balance between painted and unpainted areas avoiding paint chipping. They really did well.
    - fair price

    what else ?

He'd be perfect with a Brawn or Huffer to display next to him:)

Trailbreaker is one of the few examples where toon proportions hits hard the average Joe. MP-56 is one of the best MP in all fields, but Fantoys with heroic proportions + the average reviewers/opinionist/trolls gave a bad time on this bellybot.
