Isn't it an exact copy so in theory it should be perfectly fine

 

Has anyone got this yet? Interested to know how it holds up?

 

Mine took off from the airport on Nov 12 and has yet to land in North America. Wonder how long they can keep that plane circling before they let him down and into US Customs.  

 

Where did you order from that already had him in stock? Or is this the non-name brand KO instead of the EAGLE EG-01?

 

He's referring to the non branded 4th party KO. There's a separate thread for the Eagle branded one.

 

Correct. Don't think anyone has stocked the Eagle KO yet.

 

Got mine today, looks like Takaras box, not opened it yet, extra led pre order head came in separate baggie. Doesnt seem that the side vents compress with the LED head like the normal so I dont know if it can be transformed with it attached

 

if a ko is 4th party and mpp10 oversized improved figure falls under 4th party does that mean lewin resources oersized ko of mpp10 is 5th party?

Just opened and transformed mine this morning. I put him through the paces and no issues at all.

It is a Starscream KO thread though - hardly irrelevant is it.

 

I think the point is trying to keep the different versions separate,so people don't get them confused. Each version apparently had different improvements and it will def get confusing if they're both discussed in the same thread.

Mine just showed up. First Impressions... Not too bad.

Issues:
This hinge was installed backwards

Paint Scratched on the hips out of the box

Pretty big stress mark here but feels superficial


Those are the biggest things I can find. He looks and feels pretty good in hand in both modes.


The ankles are still loose on this guy. Similar to the official but maybe not quite as bad. The panels on the forearms squish together nice and tight which was something that bugged me on the official.

LED head cannot Transform and really isn't executed that well with lots of light bleeding out around the edge of the eyes. Still fun to have I guess.


EDIT: Also wanted to add that his ratchets all feel really nice, solid and clicky. Ben stated in his review that one of the leg ratchets was a little loose but mine all seem to be fine. So mileage may vary here.

Well, I managed to get my KO Starscream today before it was stolen but I can say i'm fairly pleased. Most everything was sufficiently and appropriately tight. Joints are good if not slightly stiff. Paint seems good and I didn't notice anything chipped. The only real differences I've noticed are the cockpit is a bit clearer than the real MP-52 and the side hip skirts are held in with a screw instead of a pin. It's possible they changed other pins with screws as well but I didn't notice. The only thing i'd consider an issue is the head sits a bit too high on it's post. I can't seem to push it down anymore either because i'm afraid i'll break it. If anyone knows how to seat it lower feel free to tell me.

But i'll say that having the OG and KO standing next to each other I wouldn't immediately catch that this one is a KO. They did well with it. I'd still be interested in the Eagle KO to see what they can improve but as it stands this KO is good.
