amiami.com is now taking preorder for Tigertron. Transformers Masterpiece MP-50 Tigertron (Beast Wars)(Pre-order)
By golly you're right! Another reason the stands are trash. Still we don't know for sure if Tigatron's adapter interfaces with one or both. Wow... what an ill thought out and lazy display 'system'. It's a total afterthought isn't it? P.S Anime Exports PO is up Transformers Masterpiece MP-50 Tigertron (Beast Wars) Exactly as suspected MSRP - 30% 16800 yen. P.P.S: and TFS-Express Your Best Transformers Toys Source. Shipped from UK. Masterpiece. 3rd Party. - TFs Express £159.99 Doing the maths... Tigatron plus postage from AE will be around £150, TFS express will be £165, ShowZ are 141.42, with free shipping but no returns...hummm. I'm tempted to pay a little extra and go with TFS-Express so I have more confidence in customer services pending QC issues.
Indeed. That's what I figured. Thing is, the 3P seller then had their listings at Amazon up before Amazon did...
Hang on... so if these are the 4 faces. Left to right top to bottom Sad, Angry, Shocked and Hacking? What face is this? It looks most like Hacking but with red eyes... so is there a 5th 'neutral' face or can you eye swap with the hacking face? On top of that, as much as I really like what I'm seeing and will likely be pre-ordered one, this image really highlights everything I don't like about the extra forearm kibble...its just a bit too much. I'd have endured a less covered up beast mode or some parts forming for cleaner armguards.
Fairly certain it was worded somewhere that those are 4 additional faces, on top of his neutral face.
Yeah I thought the might be the case, that's a good compliment of faces... looks like we also have four eye options for beast mode too. I still think they missed a trick but not a)making the (robot mode) jaws articulated and b) not making the blue and red eyes swappable...who knows maybe they are (unofficially), you can take the rest of them out (on the other BW MPs) if you don't mind braking a bit of glue.
I think the Amazon JP price just dropped some. I'm showing 18,559 yen (about $176.38 US) now for my order.
What do you mean by "3P " seller? The link posted IS the Amazon link it was just while it was being staging (not "ready" to be posted).
Beast Wars is the best TF show with the best writing, if anyone here hasn't I strongly recommend watching it.
Beast Wars is one of my top favorite TF series, but I'd say the best in terms of writing would be TF Prime.
Prime started out awesome until it wasn’t anymore. I think it was around the time major plot developments were brought up and then “resolved” quickly or anti-climatically (in a way that was far too reminiscent of Energon’s methods) more people started to realize the show was all bark and no bite. It’s obsessive need to maintain the status quo and just throw away Decepticons Bay-style really robbed the show of much of its potential. But that’s neither here nor there.
In my opinion, not a chance. Not even close. I like Transformers: Prime. Like the deisgns, the first edition toys were amazing, and the first five episodes were really, really good. The writing was good. The show had a tonne of potential. Unfortunately, in order to say the writing is better than Beast Wars, they need to land their stories, and I honestly never felt like they did. Every episode of the show felt like it was building, but no episode ever felt like it delivered. Also, the show upped the stakes so damn often if never really felt like it made sense to go back to the status quo, and that show held onto the status quo damn hard. Now, don't get me wrong, Beast Wars, particularly season 1, held onto the status quo, but I felt like it made a bit more sense. Neither side was particularly resource rich, they weren't really trying to actually hide from anyone, they weren't constantly finding super powerful relics. While in Prime, they had these allies in the humans while trying to hide from humans more in general, they kept finding super power relics, new characters would pop up and immediately die, the decepticons had this massive army with this powerful ship, but could never make any headway and somehow remained hidden on earth for quite some time. And also, "this thing from cybertron ended up on earth" plotline felt wayyyy to overused, and never quite earned. I consider Prime in the top four Transformers show, but it doesn't even come close to matching Beast Wars second season, which was a masterclass in storytelling. Season 2 of Beast Wars had strong character arcs, a lot of intrigue and building, and a reallllly good and powerful payoff. Prime doesn't even come close to that. I was really hyped about Prime when it came out, I was speculating on that show like crazy. It just didn't really feel like they did a bunch in the end. The characters were great though, and Starscream in that show was amazing.
