Does anyone know the reason why Tigatron is far more damn expensive than MP-48 Lio Convoy?

 

lioconvoy is about the same size as primal and tigatron is bigger than primal

 

Because it's an upscale of Cheetor...

And maybe they’re also trying to raise the price for improving QC issues.  

 

I think paint is a contributing factor, seems like there's a lot more paint and paint masks used on Tigatron.

Parts count could play a factor too but we won't know until Tigatron is released.

 

He's exactly half way between Lio Convoy and Dinobot in price... and probably height... so ignoring the fact that all three are pretty expensive for what they are he's 'reasonably' priced in comparison with other BW MP (so long as you discount Primal and Cheetor).

 

TT were feeling generous and decided they were only going to gauge us a lot instead of a ridiculously outrageous lot.

 

Hopefully, because he has a lot of ratchet joints.

 

Now that makes sense to me.

That does seem like a lot. All of my BWMP's have come from Kapow Toys so far, so I'm hoping they are offering a slightly lower price than that.

Historically Kapow and InDemand charge about the same with TFS-Express often coming in slightly cheaper, sometimes TFS-Express will offer a deal to existing customers that will come in as low as Japanese retailers. To be fair, ID's price is below MSRP (24,000 yen/£174) so it's not like they're taking the mickey or owt.

As i understand it AJ charge you some form of import fees on checkout which will at the very least push the price up to AE levels. Then you have to run the gauntlet of HRMC, I cant see a company like Amazon under-declaring on the customs declaration...so Im skeptical it would work out cheaper for UK buyer. Plus it's Amazon and they are evil.
