I have no doubt that there are some serious issues with this figure (I haven't transformed mine yet, so I haven't voted). With the option of multiple votes, I would like to see a sum (maybe I will do it if I have time) of strictly good copies vs bad since some people have gotten really bad copies with multiple defects once there is a large enough sample size, maybe in a few weeks.

 

Lucky enough to be able to choose intact after 3+ transformations, though the longer time goes on the more anxious I get about continuing to manipulate him. I don't really want to tempt fate.

Just looking through some of these pictures. Jesus Takara. They really, really need to up their QC game as this is just village.

Hello all, my Hound came in great shape, there was one slight scratch (I mean a milimeter long l?) Which I believe I did when I accidently dropped it. Ive transformed mine about 5 times? Everything still intact, paint still looks great.

I hope the rest of you are as lucky or have a similar experience. Thanks!

Yep, that's where mine cracked.

Don't forget folks - if you answer intact after 1 transformation but you either manage more transformations OR it breaks then please update your answer.  

Fwiw I'm not sure having the ability to provide multiple answers helps the results as we don't know how many people ticked "Intact: after 1 transformation", followed by one of the broken results.

 

I've noticed with a lot of the newer MP figures that some of the places the pins go through aren't solid, but are made of two separate pieces fused together. I know on my Sunstreaker, the ones on the leg flaps separated due to the resistance created by the transformation. I had to do some surgery to keep them from completely falling off... My copy of Hound is still in great shape, but I can see some potential trouble spots...

 

Huh, I didnt buy him because he is too expensive.

 

At time of writing, it’s 41 yays, 25 nays but I imagine a lot of us in the former group already feel it’s only a matter of time before we end up in the latter.

Such a damn shame, aesthetically he’s perfect and the engineering is nifty and clever but the green plastic feels about as reliable as dimestore KO.

 

I'm not sure if the crack in the door hinge on mine was from before or after I transformed it, I didn't notice it until after a couple transformations. After seeing some of the pictures in this thread I really need to give it another close inspection.

I haven't had any issues and have only transformed it once. This is depressing and hopefully is not MP Rodimus all over again. The shoulder on mine (TRU Rodimus) imploded on my shelf without ever being transformed.

 

I'm prolly one of the rare few that has a not-broken MP-47 still after multiple transformations and handling.

 

I will add that I've TF'd mine a few times now and no new issues have arisen. There's still that tiny crack in the screwed joint where the armature connects to the windshield, but it has not worsened. And the fender rivet fix is holding up fine. I'll fix that armature crack soon as long as nothing new shows up...still concerned that this thing may start falling apart at some point, though. Decisions...

 

Wow this is terrible. I've all but stopped collecting due to financial reasons and life constraints but this was going to be my first figure in two years. I have a special place for Hound and aesthetically this looked like the best MP to date (for my taste). And I was super excited to experience the engineering in the back wheels and integrated accessories. I may hold out for a fixed version but otherwise I'm giving up on this. They're asking way too much money to give a decently confident product.

 

It's a bummer for sure. I bought him from Amazon Japan so I should have no issues returning him. No replacement. Several people have already received replacements that broke too. I'd say that I can feel good knowing that I got some good pics of him before he crumbles but now my SD card has died.   That is a WAY bigger bummer for me at the moment... So many pics to be recovered.
