I made a blue one. With or without Autobot sigils, it's your choice!

@chchchch im loving these Bee digibashes! That blue looks so good!

Any particular reason you left the tampo off of the yellow version’s chest?

I’d love to see a back view of the alt mode with the fan tampo on that square panel too (hint, hint). :D

Aw man thanks so much as always!! :D

Well my reasoning (which could be wrong) is that the chest sticker was included with the Micro Change release of the mold, but not the Transformers release (even though it's in the package art and instruction photos). But now I realize I'm just assuming that because I've never seen it, I don't actually know! But I figured I'd save the tampo for Micro Change homages only, so here's what it would look like for the yellow one:

    MC-04 03Y Robot Mode.jpg MP-45+ Robot Mode w MC Tampo.jpg

I don't actually know how they'd approach it, particularly since if you position it any higher than I did, it would be visible on the back of the car above the panel that hides cartoon Bumblebee's insignia. But maybe that's OK. Speaking of that panel...

I had actually already kinda started it, so here it is ;)  I'm not sure if it's a very good job as it was tough to find any reference images that are super high res, and in some images the "fan blades" look identical, while in others they seem to have hand-drawn variations. There also seems to be a million possibilities as far as how they'd approach the details...first of all, since it's a trapezoid and not square, would they alter it to fit better? And would they retool the panel to have a flat surface (I left it alone)? Also if I understand the transformation correctly, the whole panel and its hinge could be chromed theoretically without disturbing robot mode, so maybe they'd do rather than silver paint. Would they keep the comic booky hand drawn black outlines, or eliminate them altogether? I also don't know if I maybe should have made the entire undercarriage section black, but without consulting transformation videos a few more times I'm not entirely certain of the effect on robot mode. I thought about all this and then remembered, IT'S JUST A F***ING DIGIBASH :lol

Dude!!! If I could “like” this a hundred times I totally would!!! Thanks for putting those together, even if TT never actually makes figures like your digibashes your work brings so much nostalgic goodness!

I enjoy reading about your decision process too. One reason your work is so fantastic is that you think it through so thoroughly. And you know when not to overthink it. ;)

Aw thanks so much bro, too kind! :D  Yeah I realize Takara will not do 90% of these :lol  but I almost feel like I've already gotten to handle and play with them after spending so much time visualizing them. And I should thank you and all the other board members for your infectious enthusiasm that keeps me wanting to do this!

    You’re welcome!! :)

One of the reasons I’m enjoying these so much is that it’s amazing to see how well the toy look fits on the cartoon-accurate base figure. It gives us a version of the character that we’ve never seen before, showing us what Transformers would have been like if the animation models hadn’t fully diverged from the toy. It brings something new into being and your skills make it look so real.

Yes!! I've probably said this before, but while I would love to see original MP molds made to look like updated toy sculpts or the original package art, there's something even cooler to me about putting the toy deco on the toon body. I think it's an amazing fusion of 80s Japanese mecha art design and 80s Japanese animation style, which should and does work if you think about it!

it seems like a literal love letter to the TF enthusiasts that were around for the mid 80s toys. I understand they’re expensive for some, but that doesn’t detract from how must I see them as actual art pieces. Perhaps it even enhances that sense I get from them. I can’t wait to see 44+. I bet it looks beautiful.

Thank you Goldimus!! Well I've only got like 7 more options coming for you in the near future! :lol  I really seriously appreciate it though. Congrats on your payoff, and sorry you having to slow down after this...I think going for pre-owned copies is an excellent idea. If prices rise too much higher or my (limited and potentially finite) toy fund dries up I'll be considering the exact same thing.

@Goldimus Prime and @chchchch , I feel your pain. Maybe next year will be another slow one for us G1 fans? The geek inside of me hates that idea but my wallet and wife love it! I think I'll have spent $1k or more on MPs this year when all's said and done. Regardless of income, that's hitting the upper limit of what I think I should be spending on this hobby. That said...

Just about a month to go for this cute lil' bugger!

Time for the weird stuff...here are a bunch of possibilities for Masterpiece Volks!

Brazilian Estrela release with the weird "Optimus" faction symbol:

    MP-45V Robot Mode Estrela.jpg

    MP-45V Alt Mode Estrela.jpg

Then the Argentinian Antex release with MicroChange tampo, followed by the more likely version that's simply orange with Autobot insignia:

    MP-45V Robot Mode Antex.jpg MP-45V Robot Mode Antex Autobot.jpg MP-45V Alt Mode Antex Autobot.jpg

Finally, the Brazilian Estrela silver release:

    MP-45S Robot Mode.jpg

    MP-45S Alt Mode Autobot.jpg

    Autobot symbol robot mode option:

Thanks for bearing with me, I'm almost done :lol
