I'm in for pretty much any repaint that they throw us. Toy +, Nemesis, Ultra Magnus, Powered Convoy, Sleep Mode, and of course my hallowed, long wished for Pepsi Convoy.

We definitely don't need any more fucking Bape's though.

If the rocket pack fits on Sideswipe in robot mode I don't know what I will do with myself....

 

I think it will because it looks like it uses the gun port on the Lambo roof to attach the rocket pack and that port is on his back in bot mode. Prepare yourself for the awesomeness!  

 

May just keep the Starscream head on him. As a Decepticon fan boy I feel it may be necessary.

My only concern is that the plug on the rocket pack is so high up, that it would look damn weird if it was plugged in in robot mode the same way that it is in bot mode



But I imagine there's another plug inside the jetpack about halfway down which can fold out just for Sideswipe's robot back. Would love to see that for confirmation though!

One of the reasons I made this thread, apart from having a place to shoot the breeze about this release in peace and quiet, is so that I can add all important photos into one place in the first post, and refer back to them for drooling over!

The only repaint isI go for would be the sleep mode version. Unless I get an incredible job, or hit the lotto, I can't afford that much awesomeness.

Not gonna lie, if they do this, I might not be able to hold myself back from buying it. I'd gladly take a bot only release for it.

 

I am in for a + release and a Powered Convoy Blue, with a preference for toy colors and details. I may be tempted by a white Magnus too... hopefully we get a bare bones release of just the bot, similar to the way MP-10B was released, so we can afford more versions of this mold. One trailer is honestly enough for me. I like the trailers from MP-04 and MP-10 but they have no place in my display so they usually sit in the box until I transform them.

 

Is it me, or does roller pulling the trailer turret remind anyone else if fortress Maximus's cog?    

 

Yeah, I think TT's best bet would be to go trailerless for the Magnus repaints and do whatever they have to in order to make them hitch to MP-22/31's trailers. It's hard for me to believe that more expensive sets with random repainted Optimus Prime trailers would sell better (assuming the cross-compatibility is possible engineering-wise). Thanks for the positive reactions too  

 

While the open back of the cab doesn't bother me and wouldn't stop me from getting trailerless repaints, I wonder if they would make some sort of accessory in terms of a shield or something along those lines to occupy that space for such a release? I mean, since those guys didn't show up in the toon there's really no reason they couldn't get creative.

 

Yeah, while I like the fifth wheel area myself, that could be a nice thing for those that don't...it would also make sense for a "toy accurate" release, since the G1 toy mold was supah smooth there.
