It could be easy money for TT. A reissue, with no trailer, fixing the issues, or even with a small backpack without the voice box. I'm in.

 

I just wish they'd hurry up with a mp44 toy repaint announcement to complement mp-36+.

 

So I'm about to buy this tomorrow off someone for £400 which I think is fair. Is it worth keeping my KO around as a parts doner? I don't know how bad the issues were on this figure, I've been assured that the copy I'm getting is solid and I definitely trust the sellers word on that.

 

That's up to you. I have the official, the official Nemesis Prime and the small backpack KO. My official is fine... even the paint. The KO I admittedly bought for a custom but it's also fine. Nemesis is a floppy mess. Fixable, but I might move him on for a chance to experience the magic square mold.

 

Keep the KO for vehicle mode   . Hopefully, your copy will be issue free! Of course, you should be aware of how to fix the knee issue.

 

Is the knee issue widespread? I did ask the seller who has confirmed it's not an issue with this copy I'm buying, which is one of two he has. I'm hoping this was simply bought a while ago to resell and nothing else.

 

My copy didn't have the issue but I fixed it anyway. It's involved but not a hard fix.

 

So i Need a Tamiya color for the grey bits (if i can use that for Wheeljack wings would be great too), any suggestion?

 

Apologies if this is the wrong thread for this, but does this look like a genuine MP-44? Transformers Masterpiece MP44 Optimus Prime Ver 3.0 MISB | eBay The bubble wrap obscuring everything looks a bit suspicious, but I thought the KOs were just the bot and no trailer, so presumably a different/smaller box? I'm not sure I want to spend that much money anyway, but certainly wouldn't want to get burned with a knock off. Most of my collection so far is FansToys where KOs aren't really a worry. Anyway, thanks in advance for any advice!

 

The KOs haven't tried to copy the official MP-44 packaging. They also haven't released the KO MP-44 trailer yet. It's legit.

 

Thanks for that. That was my suspicion, but I didn't know for sure and didn't want to get scammed to the tune of four hundred quid! Hmm, very tempted...

 

My copy is fine. However, the little Sparkplug figure has a broken leg. The little figures of him, Carly, and Spike are really delicate.

 

That's how much I just dropped on one off Facebook. Seems that's now the normal going. I thought it was a lot of money (it is) but a lot of places were selling these at 360/70 on release, so it's not an absolutely huge markup

 

Ha, looks like I thought about it for too long. Sold to someone who obviously wanted it more than I did... ah well, never mind.
