There is only one company making MP-44 KO (although they've tweaked it several times) and the small backpack is the latest version. ShowZ has it on sale. There were a couple of white leg versions with the voice chip in the huge backpack like the real MP-44. Version 1 was terrible, but v2 was a bit better but still prone to the hips/waist gears crumbling. Silver leg version still has the big backpack, but is similarly as good as v2. The the KO factory developed a version without the voice and slimmed down the back. They first did the black/shattered glass/EVA colors and then the v4 white leg version. Many of the complaints about v1 are now cleaned up, although the new back didn't consider the "jetpack" and "Starscream shoulder intakes" accessories very well so be aware. If those looks are important then v2 or silverlegs would work better.
Nice to hear my suspicions held up. My silver leg is played with all the time and the joints are still holding, but I was hearing that the plastic on the V4 "feels" better. Which I don't know what that means . As for waiting for a silver leg version, YES great idea! To be honest I'm not big on too toon accurate. The transformations seems on MP44 pass for technical details so I love that BUT, I think MS02 is a step too far. So DEFINITETLY prefer silver legs ad that's more real world looking. Perfect world, MP44 and MP36 would look like MDLX Optimus and Megatron in my opinion .

Come on BMB. Give us a painted version! You already got our money for the many unpainted versions, now double dip already by giving us premium options. If this were Magic Square, not only would we have a painted MP44 right now, we'd have a super metallic 2 Turbo hyper fighting championship edition by now.
inspired by @transformer_78 jetpack adapter, all credz goes to him for coming up with a working design. i made an attempt to model my own adapter to see if i could do it. i've been playing around with modelling and printing so this was a good exercise for me. also i wanted to fill in some of the hollowness at the top and sides with my version.

Nice! did you have to paint them to match or you found a red material color that match SS’s red? Looks like your matches pretty good
i didn't paint it, it's the natural red colour of the PLA i used, same used on the jetpack adapter. it matches SS more and it's fairly close. definitely not as dark as needed for Prime, but you barely see those parts on the jetpack.
Well my first run MP-44 KO finally bit the dust tonight. Went to pose him with my new MP Trailbreaker, and his torso came off in my hand... Already ordered one of the newer ones with the smaller backpack to replace him.
Got mine in and he has a problem with the heel on 1 side. It should sit flush, but won't go down any further
