Good that they're offering a another white leg variant for those that missed out on 1.0 and 2.0 but a pity that they're keeping the silver painted smokestacks of Silver Leg instead of going back to the chromed out smokestacks of the original.
If the jetpack doesn't fit? Just leave it out. That's a shame. I'm sure someone around here will figure out an adaptor for the jetpack to fit with the newer backpack eventually. Someone like @transformer_78 ? Also agree that I like the chrome from the first 3 versions. Hmmm, is this now v5 or v6?
I honestly have no interest in the backpack…but I can take a look if there something simple to make it work. I do have some other upgrades in the works …….just need to find some free time (work is keeping me busy)
I literally bought my MP-44 Silver Legs a few days ago and this thing appears., kinda sucks but I heard the most recent KO releases have been pretty bad on the QC side, with tabs not tabbing in and the truck not transforming properly. I guess I can wait for a review on this version. If the QC of this KO is good, then this might be the best MP Optimus Prime in the market
no you dodged a bullet. The youtube review I saw noted that the small backpack KOs are of worse QC than Silver Legs. As Silver Legs has QC issues of his own, I don't relish a figure with even more with complexity on part with MP44. There's a dozen ways this figure can break.
Yeah I'm well aware of the QC issues on the altered backpacks version. Apparently they were made in a different factory the last I heard, and they took shortcuts on some of the materials. If they were smart they'd use this as an opportunity to increase the QC on this newer batch of Primes. If the QC of this batch is better than the last batch of different colored primes, then I may have to double dip and sell my silver legs. That being said, I highly doubt the quality will improve. Seems that at this point the KO's are just a cash grab and the competition with TE-01 is too high to really invest in spending more money on quality parts to keep the standards of the figure high

Even if you bought both, it's still cheaper than the Takara. That said, I own a KO and I want to buy an official but nobody has an official in stock.
Yeah, I like that it's quite a bit smaller but they just didn't bother to make it cohesive at all. Instead of a large backpack that looks like it's actually part of his body, you get a small backpack that looks slapped on.
@SquishyOH I had a bit of time last night to take a looking……here’s the working prototype adapter test print It’s a pressure fit around the backpack. It holds really well and easy to take off. The adapter just plugs to the jet pack. I designed it with the goal in mind for it to be concealed/hidden……as to avoid any need to paint match. So it can be printed in one color and be universal with any of the repaints. The adapter is low profile so no added bulk . Needs a bit more tweaking but it works.
Got my order in for a white leg small backpack version. Are the same fixes needed for this version as the first couple KOs? By this version I mean the smaller backpack.
That is awesome. But if they don't ship the jetpack with the new MP-44 KO's then no one will buy one! Well, the white/black/purple/evo ones all came with the jetpack but I personally skipped those. And baba's listing for the new white legs shows no jetpack but then ShowZ does show the jetpack and mentions the "fuel pump" as well. Wasn't the fuel pump part of the original MP-44 that got eliminated along with the trailer? I don't know what accessories will be included or how strong the demand for this nifty little adaptor will be. But man, that is some good work on getting the pack to fit again.
