I have doubts about this being for the second batch as it was still available for order yesterday morning. Nothing is stated in the description about this ore order being from the second batch.

As far as I am concerned, ShowZ offered to take out one of the figures they had in stock to provide replacement parts for mine. Apparently they had received some replacement parts from the manufacturer but not mine... Apparently they had forgotten them. But the way I see it, the design of the parts where mine is broken is flawed so getting replacement parts wouldn't be a long time solution. I gave up on this one.

I will probably buy the second batch of this and see if it's improved somehow. Otherwise I will just keep enjoying the official which is just very well built and pretty much bombproof too!

How hot was the water you used? I microwaved my water until it was boiling and I got the antennas to look like this.

Mine was close to boiling. How many times did you have to heat them to get them to stay like that?

I heated them at least more than 5 times but I don’t think that’s what’s necessary. I only did that cause I hadn’t figured out the right way to straighten them. I tried what the pdf said to do to straighten them after heating and it didn’t work. Since they have a tendency to bend to the left I bent them to the right. You have to bend the entire antenna not just the top. You’ll no if you’ve bent them enough if there’s a gap between the middle of the antennas and the rest of primes head. After you’ve achieved that make sure the rest of the antenna lines up with the middle and looks straight then cool them in cold water. Also Use this stock picture of mp44 for reference as you’re doing it.

on that note, my seller has told me that the second batch has been delayed again till end of month

i'm all for it if it means fixes and better qc, but i'm considering a refund until such time as it's actually released. i'm a bit antsy about my money just sitting with an overseas seller for so long

That is why I want to be careful with getting another one as I really want it to be a second batch.

Would anyone that has one that has broken pm me. My son is wanting a custom and he doesn’t care about transformation. Thought maybe I could buy one off one of you and make it for him for Christmas. Only needs battle damage head and waist piece. Gun would be nice.

Speaking of hot water to straighten things. My KO's left forearm is completely out of wack. I filed the inside panel of that forearm and the tab finally sticks but the whole panel itself is slightly misaligned. The part of the panel where the small tab clips in is is slightly bent outward so it has a hard time latching no matter what i have filed off. Also, the top of the forearm has slightly bowed outward too. So i have it rubber banded up right now to hold everything in place but i was wondering if i gave the whole forearm a nice dunk in hot water if it could help straighten it out.

Am i bound for disaster (if i do it) or do any of you think it could help?

You can get a pin tool for next to nothing from amazon and take off just the offending part and work on it https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1&pldnSite=1

That particular pin holding that panel is hidden partially and i can't find the other end and there's no way id be able to garb the one exposed end unless i dug it out a bit as far as i can see. I'm not even sure if the other end of that pin is exposed at all TBH.

Both of my knees are jacked. The knees bend perfectly on the first part of the knee bend but once it comes to those blue tabs fitting into the slots and engaging the 2nd part of the knee bend it doesn't work. The tabs refuse to go down into the slots on both knees. I'm not looking forward to operating on them either. I also don't really want to snip anything to make them work.

If i did operate i was considering using apoxie sculpt to make the inner knee joint piece into a solid piece. I don't trust super glue to hold that those two parts together forever. Could be a dumb idea but it seems to me like it should work. I also considered using Testors liquid cement or Tamiya ABS on that part so i wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.

BTW, I just tried unscrewing those screws and i was finally able to engage the 2nd set of ratchets but i had to turn that screw quite a bit for it to even allow the tab to go down. I currently have the knees totally bent and will leave him kneeling for a bit. Maybe it'll help things settle in to allow it to work properly.

It really is the most convoluted knee design I’ve ever seen. If/when mine fail, I probably won’t even bother fixing them because it looks like more than I care to deal with.

Honestly don't blame you. I'd rather not have to think about fixing them at all myself. If your knees ever do start acting up on that 2nd ratchet you'd probably be okay if you don't put him in crazy knee bend poses. Even with mine misbehaving he was able to stand perfectly fine and the halfway knee bend worked perfectly. Hope you never have to find out, though.

What’s great about this guy coming with the three heads needing to be initially swapped by taking off the head from the ball peg is that I now have two extra ball peg “adapters” for any future figures, so this makes me really happy.
