Anyone found good matches color-wise for his white hips/thighs and silver-gray undersides? Posted in the main thread but I'll repost here, had some paint chipping out of the box here:

Sorry, I’ve been delaying it quite a bit due to some personal problems and projects, but I’ll try to get back to you by the end of the week. Thanks!

Unfortunately, none of those are eligible for Amazon Prime. If anyone's found Tamiya or other equivalents, though...

Got a new MP-44 and did the knee fix right away. Went with the pins and trimming the ratchet shaft. Also added some grease to the ratchets.

And also what do the pins do for the piece and the knee?

You need to get a small drill with an 0.8mm drill bit and i used 1/32 brass rods.

I have some of this coming Thursday, since I ordered some Gundam kits and I wanted to do some customizing on those...

Could I get close with this or mix it with something?

I would recommend using mr hobby, but if you’re really in a rush, you can try that. If you aren’t would you mind waiting a day or two, as I’m busy for the next few days. Sorry about that.

Also, I had no idea Mr. Hobby was a brand. Now that I've seen the name, all I can associate it with is...

Nah, that’s not the problem. I was just worrying that you were picking up the wrong types of paint (I think Jarrod recommended Mr. Hobby?) seeing how expensive the figure is, i would like to personally help people, as ruining the figure (as seen in some cases that I’m sure you know of) would hurt a lot.

Might do this to the new one I will receive if the glue doesn’t last. But I will do the knee fix straight of the box plus the additional preventive maintenance to make sure it lasts. The piece not being warped yet will stay in place way better with the glue. I have some brass rod of 0.8 mm and a hand drill if I need to do this additional fix anyway.

Hand drill both parts, press the pins in.

They make the knee and that ratchet piece one solid piece so that the ratchet piece can’t turn anymore and warp the housing.

Isn’t what you need a 0.8 mm drill?

I will honestly not do anything else than the knee fix on my future one. There is nothing that made me as disappointed as when that yellow part detached itself and I could see the back of its crotch completely cracked. I don’t wish this experience happens to anyone.

I haven't seen MP44 personally, but based on pictures and videos that can be Tamiya XF20 medium gray with a Pearl coat.

Does that mean you lay down the pearl and let it dry first, or the gray?
